- Reposted by Mila AtmosArguably the most fateful decision Mitch McConnell made was to not reconvene the Senate Jan. 13, 2021 to hold the impeachment trial of Trump while he was still in office. McConnell later voted it was unconstitutional to try Trump after he left office when he had blocked the trial before he left.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosEvery cruelty and incompetence of the Trump regime coming together.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosMinnesota needs to know the number of children in federal detention, who they are, and where they’re being held.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosThere has to be an investigation into the many individuals who committed heinous crimes alongside Epstein. There should be a special prosecutor, or a congressional investigation, that looks into the crimes and the ongoing cover-up. It has to happen.

- Reposted by Mila AtmosAudre Lorde, in a 1989 commencement address, said, "Remember this, despair is a tool of your enemies. That rumor, 'You can’t fight City Hall,' is circulated by City Hall. Facing the realities of our lives gives us the motivation for action, it gives us the power to change. You are not powerless."
- Reposted by Mila AtmosWe need a better way to get the 3800+ kids out of ICE detention than this. We know Liam’s name and we can advocate on his behalf, but that isn’t true of almost any of the other people stuck in detention centers. We have to stop ICE on a systemic level.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosThe president of the United States had his DOJ raid the Fulton County election office and seized ballots. This is clearly a dry run for 2026. Yet, this is treated by too many in legacy media as normal. I founded Democracy Docket in 2020 because you deserve better. Subscribe now. hubs.ly/Q03M8rql0
- Reposted by Mila AtmosI just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosJust experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com
- Reposted by Mila AtmosWithin half an hour of when Deputy AG Blanche told reporters that DOJ "complied with the statute...we did not protect President Trump," DOJ deleted multiple documents from the database with damning information about Trump. Among those deleted were first-person accounts of Trump raping kids.
- Reposted by Mila Atmos"The largest immigrant deportation and prison contractors in the US are expecting an epic payout this year: for every $1 that they donated to GOP campaigns in 2024, these private companies stand to reap more than $11,000 in increased annual revenue."
- Reposted by Mila AtmosThere are Senate Democrats who loudly support defunding ICE—which is a reminder that the ones making weaker demands could ask for more too. Keep calling! As we’ve seen in Minneapolis, a lot of momentum can build in two weeks.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosI don't think people understand that if you shut down the government, ICE and CBP do NOT shut down. They're funded by supplemental money from the BBB. That's why dems are separating the DHS funding bill and asking for restrictions. I want them to demand a rescission of that funding or shut DHS down

- Reposted by Mila Atmos"Return CBP to the border" Now that you have seen what CBP does, why is it okay to have them on the US-Mexico or US-Canada border? Some people say they want "a controlled border" but at what cost to life?
- Reposted by Mila Atmos“Previously, I’d go to my boss and say ‘Hey, I need a raise,’ and he’d laugh in my face,” Thompson said. “But if I see all my brothers and sisters with Stand Up KC behind me, standing with me in solidarity asking for that raise, it’s no longer an ask — it’s a demand.”
- Reposted by Mila AtmosOne of my most deeply held beliefs is that refusing to name truth makes you stupid--literally degrades your intellect.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosEvery instance in which the Trump administration is forced to make changes, even cosmetic alterations like removing Bovine, is a good sign that US democracy is not yet dead. Trump wants unchecked power. But public and political opinion still matters - and that should encourage resistance.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosEllison: "The Bondi letter reveals what this is all about. This is not about fraud and it's not even about immigration, and it's certainly not about law enforcement. It's about handing over documents of the state of Minnesota, private information, including voting information, to the federal govt."

- Reposted by Mila AtmosThe execution of Alex Pretti is playing so badly because you can look at his actions and life story - his last act was helping, boy scout, athlete, health care worker to veterans - and compare those to the men who killed him and know which you would want to be your son, brother, father, uncle.
- Reposted by Mila AtmosAmazon Web Services hosts massive surveillance systems for both ICE and DHS. Citizens Bank provides nearly $1 trillion in credit & bonds to private prison companies. AT&T has a $147 million contract to provide communications services to DHS. Know who is profiting from ICE’s cruelty.

We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."
