- actually, La Nina causes a small increase in ocean heat content (because cool ocean surface temps lead to decreased transfer of heat from ocean to atmosphere)
- If warming increases heat differentials between places and that causes higher wind speeds, could those wind speeds: - influence heat transfer between air and sea (and possibly land) and/or - stir up aerosols (including desert dust, and salt from sea) influencing clouds' effects on climate?Jan 9, 2026 13:42
