i spent about half an hour of my time today, in the underground lot of a walmart, talking to my house rep's staffer, then my state senator's legislative assistant. dems are worried about midterms and many don't want to take action on ICE+DHS until then. PUSH THEM NOW.
Feb 5, 2026 22:45every single level of govt you can access - if you're ok talking on the phone, call them. push them for action now. what are they doing to abolish ICE? what are they doing to shut down detention ctrs/prevent them from being built? how are they divesting from private prison money? that's OUR money.
the time to act is now. fuck the election. people are dying! remind them of this! call every day until you get a response. write your list of grievances and air them. push for an anti-iCE coalition w/other civil servants. tell them it'll be a popular stance. get loud everywhere.
