- The political is personal and the personal is political. I am only one part of this movement, and it’s why I will always fight for a better future ‼️ Read the full piece here ✊🏾 www.ootscotland.co.uk/post/iris-du...

- Across the world we’re saying a wave of younger, more radical and progressive politicians breaking through to challenge the far right. Uniting together communities of all colours, all faiths and taking their lived experience to the office. Mamdani has won for all of us 💚
- We’re now in WEEK 2 of selections! The hustings proved Glasgow is ready for change, we’re ready to be the ones to make it ✊🏾 We must connect with communities, listen to working people and offer a defence against hatred. Any less will see our party kicked back into the long grass.
- We deserves change. Glasgow deserves change. I’m fighting to be Glasgow’s newest socialist Green MSP, but I’m not fighting alone. Vote Ellie #1 Vote Iris #2 Vote Seonad #3 We have a future to fight for 💚 Follow @radicalglagreens.bsky.social for updates.
- I’d greatly encourage members to watch the hustings from this weekend. It’s clear Glasgow is ready for change, it’s just clear yet who will change it - we’d be honoured to have that opportunity 💚
- 5 years ago today I was referred to a gender identity clinic. I am still waiting to be seen. Odds are - I won’t be seen for another 10 years. Vital healthcare is being withheld from myself and thousands of others and the establishment does not care. How do we even fight that?
- We deserves change. Glasgow deserves change. I’m fighting to be Glasgow’s newest socialist Green MSP, but I’m not fighting alone. Vote Ellie #1 Vote Iris #2 Vote Seonad #3 We have a future to fight for 💚 Follow @radicalglagreens.bsky.social for updates.
- Snapped a photo with our Palestine Solidarity campaign co-co Adam Al-khateb at yesterday’s national march … somehow we look like we’re in a gritty cop drama 😅

- The way I just chortled 🤣 now I would love to be in Bridgerton get me in on that Shondaland!
- What a way to spend a Sunday, now my feet bloody hurt‼️ Just done Five (yes 5!!!) hours of canvassing between ACY and the Hillhead ward 💚 Great to hear the appreciation of our local cllrs hard work and the support they have got for it - thats what it means to build the grassroots 💚
- Glasgow stands proudly against genocide. From South Africa to Israel, this will be an Apartheid free city. Stand up, fight back, be heard. When this is over, when Palestine is free, will you be able to say you did everything to stop this?
- Had a great time at the Refugee fest ceilidh and barbecue‼️ What a lovely afternoon full of dancing, laughter and joy 💚
- Fantastic evening out in Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart for our great candidate Q‼️ So many people excited on the doors to #VoteGreen1 on the 26th of June💚 I’ve certainly got a good feeling about this one 👀
- The disability cuts by the UK government are shameful, forcing 400,000 into poverty. We deserve better than this 💚
- Starmer and co after a year of us begging have decided that Nana deserves to not freeze to death. Conceding that us proles may deserve a semblance of dignity in policy. The reversal of the WFA is positive but still a step backwards. We deserve dignity for all.

- But they will dictate how our new economy works in the most immediate decade after independence
- [Not loaded yet]
- I’m not disputing that. We are part of the United kingdom and thus we are part of it? But to put forward a stringent plan at Thais tags would be ridiculous as it would hinge on the terms of independence in the first place
- [Not loaded yet]
- We are the plan to replace them. The idea that Scotland is reliant on England to exist is a lie. Yes things will change, that’s kind of the point of elections.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Well yes states come in all shapes and sizes, that I agree with.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Which we’d replace with our own schemes? 97.6% of our energy is already renewable generated? The state would not simply cease to exist just because it’s not being controlled by London
- [Not loaded yet]
- Because half of the stuff we can do it devolved to UK gov. We have 60% of the waters (which just isn’t counted at all cos it’s UK wide) and a massive chunk of the energy infrastructure, those two alone make us competitive on the international stage.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Well yes, because the money going into creating the block grant from Scotland would be collected directly by the government. We’re not already sovereign and we’re not subsidised by England - we have booming industries which we’d easily leverage.
- [Not loaded yet]
- That does not negate the fact that the block grant has been cut and further highlights what I previously said about Holyrood needing to use its powers in full
- [Not loaded yet]
- How?
- [Not loaded yet]
- www.standard.co.uk/business/bus..., sorry can’t find the original paper at present but it quoted in there, there is also the HoC record of it.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Well it wouldn’t be cutting Hollywood’s funding cos Holyrood would be setting its own funding 🧍🏾♀️
- [Not loaded yet]
- In real terms it has yes. About 10% down, of course the onus is on Holyrood to use the powers it has (which it isn’t to full extent) to raise revenue but it doesn’t negate the original point
- [Not loaded yet]
- The policy itself is but if abolished would require Holyrood to use its already cut funding to patch a gap left by uk gov
- Out in ACT canvassing for @glasgowgreens.bsky.social speaking about the importance of municipal socialism 💚 SO MANY people thinking of voting green for the first time due to the hard work of our local cllr ✊🏾 No rain will stop the #DuaneTrain 🚝
- The polls are OPEN in HLS 💚 The people of HLS have been used as political playthings for the last few weeks. Tired and washed out establishment politicians clutching to their erstwhile careers. Today HLS has a chance to make history. To reject the established lot. Vote green 💚
- We set up ECHR in the wake of of the Holocaust you ensure EVERY European citizen had rights. We must say exactly what this is. It’s a warning. The very enemies we defeated on the beaches are now infesting our political parties. We will defeat them again.
- To any politician that signals to this… I ask one question. Which right have we had too much of?
- Glasgow’s third largest party out in Govan tonight whilst being snubbed by the BBC … Despite the lack of tv appearances we continue to connect with communities … what is it they’re afraid of? 🥴
- Like GPEW, this summer represents an opportunity for mass change for us Scottish greens. The direction of travel is clear. The left can be united. We can reject managed decline. We can empower socialism. I hope we don’t waste this opportunity.
- ‘Glasgow special’ but two unelected reps, 2 Labour and one rep from a party that has 1 cllr and is about to lose both its seats. As usual no greens … despite us being Glasgow’s 3rd party and polling to increase representation on all levels. Explain to me how it’s not bias?
- Tonight they’ll be speaking about ‘Glasgows future’ with 5 right wing panelist’s who will tell you that there is no other way. Who will tell the public somebody HAS to lose out. Make no mistake, legacy media has created consent for barbarism
- When was the last time you saw a serious socialist on shows like this? Even in cities where we are deeply ingrained, the tories who will have no representation in less than 2 years, are put on a pedestal. It’s a joke.
- Wow she looks super familiar!
