- It’s a practical question not a philosophical one. If the choice is wait many months while AEs try & fail to get reviews or get your manuscript back for resubmission elsewhere which is an authors preference?
- 10 (or+) reviewers rejecting to review a paper may have nothing to do wih its quality, bc a. they only read the abstract & b. they may be too busy/uninterested, regardless. So it shouldn't be grounds for a desk reject. #PeerReview should be payed, ideally by publisher through scientific institution.
