- all of the ai movies are either "this ai seems bad but is good actually" (which is ref'd in the article) or "this ai is sentient and will take over" (more classic ai movies), but the average person's experience of ai is just clippy trying to make your emails worse

- just going to note that a lot of the condemnation of false prophets/diviners/magicians in scripture is because they would prey upon the vulnerable and the desperate, offering them pernicious false hope.
