- The anti-TikTok/social media rhetoric being echoed across mainstream media and govt today reeks of the post-Crash anti-Communist sentiment that got its foothold in the ‘20s as labor realized capitalism wasn’t going to save them and embracing communist/socialist ideology was the way out of poverty.

- I often wonder how we would have considered Gone with the Wind today if the Hays Code hadn’t been around to restrict the use of racial slurs that were prevalent in the book. For all the bad the code did, it also made a lot of films palatable today, for better or worse.
