86 Candles 🎂 today for the wonderful LILY TOMLIN
I saw here do "Search for intelligent Life" on stage in San Fran. One of her characters was smoking a cigarette. I saw the smoke when she exhaled, and thought: that is amazing that Lily Tomlin can get the city to let her smoke a cigarette indoors.
That is when I realized, there was no cigarette.
I should add to this that I've been under actual hypnosis several times (ironically to quit smoking—it worked), and in a weird quirk, I cannot be hypnotized to see things that aren't there.
So, she was able to do something with her performance that a professional hypnotist cannot do. LEGEND.
