- I love the aesthetic of a deckled edge, but from a functional perspective, I really can't stand it. It makes a book so much harder to read! Who's with me?

- The world is getting me down again today — this relentless authoritarian madness is a lot. I am reminded again that we must keep our minds right at times like this. And, of course, surrounding ourselves with empathetic, loving people helps too. Be well, friends. Have a good weekend.

- Another beautiful film to recommend: "Come See Me in the Good Light" is heartbreaking and inspiring, a film about love, art, life, and death. I spent most of the time watching through tears — A brilliant piece of work. See this film! youtu.be/t0B8sjxR7Mo?...

- Same here. It's unavoidable.
- We finally got around to watching "Sentimental Value" last night. Beautiful film and heartbreaking in plenty of ways, but hopeful, too. This one is a slow burn. It's a long film, and it takes a while to sink in. I woke up thinking about it this morning, which is always a good sign.
- Was anyone else raised in the Christian church? I'm reading @sarahmccammon.bsky.social's book about Evangelical culture, and it is a fascinating walk down memory lane. If American religious culture interests you, try this book. It's fascinating.
- Finally, it's above zero out there. Still cold, though.🥶

- My weather app said it was -14° when I woke up this morning, and even more awful news has come in from Minneapolis, so we’re feeling low this afternoon. I decided to look at some of the winter pictures folks have sent in over the past few months to lift my spirits. www.flakphoto.news/p/all-eyes-o...
