- Do I need this Sarah? I think, perhaps, I do! Congratulations.
- On a rainy grey February, a splendid parcel has arrived. What a relief… @pelagic.bsky.social @nfbr.bsky.social @nbntrust.bsky.social
- This looks like fun, as well as being hugely worthwhile. How can people sign up as a volunteer?

- I had the honour of reading this pre-publication. It seems even better second time around! If you live in the south-east of the UK, you won't find many of the species covered but the book is still worth buying. The advice on HOW to look and how to attempt IDs is second to none.

- Reposted by Fay NewberyIt is John Aubrey’s 400th anniversary this year! My next book publishes his Natural History in full for the 1st time. It is not the quaint collection of random anecdotes suggested by the heavily edited 1847 version, but cutting edge c17 science all penned with Aubrey’s characteristic brilliance.

- There are two other lichen guides for Britain and Ireland in print. But this is the first one written by a northern team. If you live in the North of the UK, then this is definitely the one for you.
- Looking good. Great to see lichens included.

- Which theme will your best pictures fit into? Don't forget to give your photos titles to get people's attention. You'll want to win as many votes as possible!
- The theme for this meeting is Lichens in Churchyards and on Man-made structures. Come and hear how lichens can form a protective layer over stone.
- Such a perfect posy.

- These are amazing! So creative and unique.
- Fabulous. I'd love to see more of these as you work through your data. What part of the country were you in? I'm not seeing some of those pathogens. I probably just need to look harder!

- This is the first British & Irish lichen book, that I am aware of, which is not focused on species common in southern England. Definitely the best beginners' lichen book to buy if you live in the north. That's one benefit of Scottish authors!
- A great book. Enjoy.

- You have at least six well photographed species here. Bring your photos to the next #AquaticHyphomycete online session and we can help you. Meanwhile look up Clavariopsis aquatica and Tetracladium marchalianum to start with.
- Gorgeous. The best photo of a lichen community that I've seen for ages.
- You've missed my birthday list this year too. But I'm happy to take a voucher for a pre-order for Christmas! I'll let my family know. We'll done @sarahwhild.bsky.social
- The #AquaticHyphomycete online group have another great programme lined up this week. @zimingwang.bsky.social will be talking to us about isolating living spores for culture work. We'll also be talking about the importance of recording these fungi and whether there is a best way to do that.
- Gorgeous. I love it when a painting reaches out a 'speaks' to me.
- How I wish I had the skills to do this!! Your work is beautiful @alicelaigle.bsky.social and so meaningful too. Does anyone have some tips on how someone who cannot draw can achieve the same purpose in a notebook?

- We had a thoroughly enjoyable, and very informative, first meeting of the online #AquaticHyphomycete group yesterday. @isabelrfernandes.bsky.social gave us methodology and tips for collecting and fixing foam samples.
- Only three days now until our first online session on #AquaticHyphomycetes There’s still time to sign up by emailing aquatichyphomycetes@gmail.com Andi Bruder will be giving us a quick overview of this special ecological group...
