- Last month, @fatimabsyed.bsky.social reported on municipalities pushing back on agreements with Enbridge Gas that give the company free land for pipelines. Provincial law requires the agreements and the right of way. Energy Minister Stephen Lecce says Ontario isn't currently planning to change that.

- In the spring we heard about these “special economic zones” where, under Ontario’s Bill 5, provincial and municipal laws don’t apply, ostensively speeding up development. Now we have an idea of the rigorous regulatory test they face and it’s, um, the minister having a good feeling about them.
