- Reposted by Jane McGrathMy brain keeps getting tripped up when someone says ‘Gorton and Denton’ because I hear ‘Galton and Simpson’ and fear there’s a vote for a new Steptoe.

- Reposted by Jane McGrath🎶 we got a snow drift, Danny’s gift and plasma from the bloody lifts axed doors, maze tours and creepy twins you can’t ignore, red rum, scared mum, barman chum and you must say when he’s typing all the day it’s all work and never play play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play. 🎶
- Got new hearing aids today for the first time in 5 years. Everything is very loud and I have spent far too much time taking photos of the back of my head.🦻

- A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Sam Wanamaker for the second time today. Just as mesmerising this time. Booked to see it again when it comes to Bristol. Am sure I will love it but the intimacy of the SW gives it an extra impact. In the lower gallery seats you can hear the actors breathing.
- I love how happy the drumming skeleton looks. He's having a marvellous time!
- Just read The Mermaid Tank by L.P Hartley in All The Fear of the Fair from @blpublishing.bsky.social Now I am sad I'll never get to read it for the first time again. Made my partner read it as a substitute.
- And now I've had an email read out on Better Than Life.

- Had an email read out on Carry On Up the Podcast today. Think I might have peaked for the year already.
- In 2025 I started 107 books. 100 were new (to me) and 7 were re-reads. I abandoned 4 books as too bad/dull to finish. There were 9 others I finished but would not read again.

- Very pleased with my haul. 📚 Starting with the Christmas ghost stories
- The Room in the Tower was great up until the tacked on ending. Gatiss does it every time and it never adds anything to the story. Loved seeing Nancy Carroll though.

- Haven't seen this in decades but I still say Ur-rhug-away whenever the opportunity presents itself.
- Listened to episode. I think I need to buy wardrobe door locks 😱
- I have ordered a Fanny Craddock card to keep all for myself. I love it so much!
- Saw A Midsummer Night's Dream at The Sam Wanamaker this afternoon. It's twisted, dark and disturbing. I absolutely adored it. Sergo Vares as Puck is mesmerising and sinister. The stand-out performance in a very strong cast. Am booking to go back and see it all again!
