- The general public could tell years ago after the most cursory Google search, that he was a complete self-interested charlatan who would do anything for personal benefit - that no MPs (from any party) or “journalists” mentioned this serves as reminder of what an insider’s club it is. Them and us!

- Hard times are coming when we will be wanting the voices of writers who can see alternatives to how we live now & can see through our fear-stricken society & its obsessive technologies. We will need writers who can remember freedom. Poets, visionaries–the realists of a larger reality. Ursula Le Guin

It's this culture that claimed Mandelson’s ‘qualities’ outweighed the risks. bylinetimes.com/2025/09/29/t...

- Reposted by Stefan SiebertPeople who make billions out of billions are invariably horrible, vicious, abusive, nasty, bitter human beings who think very highly of themselves and their needs and their pile of money and absolutely nothing of other human beings. If the Epstein scandal has reminded us of anything it is that.

- Reposted by Stefan Siebertso hang on a minute, the UK (significantly, erm, “represented“ in negotiations by Mandelson) has just signed a trade deal with the US that gives into their demands for NHS to pay way more for medicines…. & yet Streeting won’t even tell us the barest details? 🤯 www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
- One reason why the government wants to get rid of jury trials is normal people don’t make decisions based on politics, lobbying, “donations” etc.

It’s regressive and embedding inter and intra generational wealth inequality. It’s not a loan system, it’s a bad grad tax in all but name. youtu.be/uOC6Arrf2us?...
- Reposted by Stefan SiebertI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

- Such a good idea collecting all the politicians with highly questionable views on human rights, race, democracy etc in one party. It makes it so much easier to keep track of them all.

- No-one can pretend they did not know what would happen if Reform get in or near power. Just look at what is happening across the atlantic, listen to what they are telling you, see what they stand for (racism, exploitation etc). The NHS will never recover, and likely also not democracy in the UK.
- Great! 🤬The world is burning and under massive threat from right-wing authoritarianism (esp. in the UK) and Labour's response is to play childish politics! These people are not going to protect us or democracy – they are a large part of the problem. History won't forgive them for their inaction.

- Reposted by Stefan SiebertThis perfectly demonstrates the pernicious nature of BBC two-sidism. It almost always benefits the side with the most power. In this case that's the side which is murdering peaceful protesters in the street, on camera, and then lying about it
- Reposted by Stefan SiebertSo important. What they say is not the story. That is never the story. What happened is the story. Write what happened.

- Everyone in the UK needs to see and understand what is happening in US, and then make sure not one single person they know even considers voting for those aligned with the cancer of authoritarianism. Brexit was part of this process and has already destroyed much of what was good about the UK.
- 👇This is a lesson the UK also needs to learn before it is too late. There will be no simple “buyers remorse” next time like after the Brexit referendum (and l for one have not forgiven that one either).

- Another execution by federal agents in the streets - this is the type of thing Farage and friends support. Everyone voting for them will be complicit and no-one can say they did not know what was coming.
- Important but utterly terrifying read if you start thinking about where this leads...
- Classic disaster capitalism business model. Make profits from selling weapons and then profit again from the reconstruction (inc. buying post-war land and businesses at knockdown prices). Of course the tax payer pay for most of this and the usual suspects take the profits.

- Important thread about politicians & policy makers ignoring warnings and pretending latest reports are new information. They knew for decades that environmental collapse will lead to climate-driven food & water shortages, migration, state fragility, conflicts etc. But they chose money and careers!
- We really need a new sort of politician who is not only interested in personal gain at the expense of the country and public. Demand better and STOP blindly voting along party lines to get rid for people like this 👇.
