- I saw her in the live concert version of Nightmare Before Christmas probably about nine years ago & will always think about her doing Sally’s Song w/ the saddest expression I’d ever seen from her and her hands clasped like a child at a recital. Perfect physical performance w/o mimicking the screen.

- I’m sorry, but there comes a point where opposition to religion becomes as sure a way to wedge your head up your ass as getting hung up on religion itself. This is what we want them to be doing, my guy. We *want* them to look at their book and make positive and constructive decisions based on it.

- I already fell in the snow both yesterday morning and today. This evening I managed to roll my ankle trying to maneuver over another snowbank to get to a bus stop and this time I just fully ragdolled back into two feet of snow and let the angels take me.

- this kind of detached posting for the sake of posting accomplishes nothing but turning the girls raped and the children abducted and the community members shot into a framework for snide jokes. someone doing the equivalent of this in a WWII movie would be viewed as a total bastard.
- Canada is making money off of manufacturing equipment for ICE. Canadian border police hand people to ICE to be tortured. Almost 60% of people in Nunavut are impoverished and food-insecure due to racist government policies. You’d be interlinked with us and our guilt even if your founding were clean.

- I work in a bookstore. Doing this makes it a worse day for everyone involved if we don’t have the majority (or any!) of the books on someone’s list. The customers get mad, we get apologetic.

- an understated blueskyism that I notice on here a lot is people going “[x] time!” or “time for [x]!” when it’s unnecessary and prescriptive, not even beginning to scrape the surface of solving the problem, or so obvious that it’s the equivalent of asking for a participation trophy in the thread
