- Repping @voice21oracy.bsky.social at the EPI/Hachette Roundtable on Oracy today. The evidence base for oracy is clear, but it's also clear that delivering an oracy education is a complex, long term project for a school, with teachers’ professional judgment sitting at the centre.
- Voices from across the sector discussed excellent oracy education being delivered by so many schools and the barriers that prevent this from being a universal picture. How can government, exam boards and other actors in the space help, not hinder?
- Oracy isn’t an island - the question of how it connects with other areas of expertise in a school is crucial. How do Speech and Language Therapists, subject leads, pastoral teams and all the other experts in the school work together to provide a coherent oracy education for every child?
