- The Wright Museums Instagram page is HILARIOUS. Think The Office but it's the staff at a Museum for Black History. Better believe this is on my list of places to visit. Gentle Spades "I'm a veteran"
- the choice seems stark, do you want to live in this joyful kind of world or the one inflicted on us on parasites and grifters
- But how I'm supposed to have the executive function to go out & exist in public when I don't have the executive function to get dressed? Holler if you hear me.
- "By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed." A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends. Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.
- I've decided my weight goal is going to be my current weight + 2 lbs of popcorn shrimp.
- This is truly awe-inspiring and chilling, especially when he faces the camera. (And if you haven't heard of "Sir Thomas More", it's because the play wasn't published or performed during Shakespeare's lifetime.)
- Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

- Good morning, Bluesky. I love this town. (Don’t pout, Baltimore, you’ll always be my #1, but would it kill you to have a little more whimsy when it comes to potholes?)
- Ive watched this about 100 times. This is why the internet was invented. Right here. Peak content.
- Secure your own squid first before helping others. (I'm disproportionately proud of this drawing.)
- Mongolia's Winter Olympic kits are absolutely gorgeous, I'm obsessed!!
- Sorry, I can't come into the office because my cat would be sad.
- It’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.
-
View full threadThe meeting is adjourned. Mayor Kevin Sartor ended the long meeting by saying “We hear you, we have a lot to consider and your voices are impactful and powerful.” Surprise showed tf up. The overflow room filled + hundreds outside. It ended with only 2 speakers in favor of the ICE camp.
- Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

- If I ever met Grendel from "Beowulf" I'd be like "Nice vengeance, did your MOM get it for you?"
- A man wrote, organized, and emailed me a 5x3 matrix of the main arguments from a corpus of my essays and his own thinking, organized by theme, divergence and convergence. You would think this annoys me. In fact, it doesn’t? I’m charmed. Listen, I barely make sense to myself sometimes. 🤷🏾♀️
- trundle, trundle, trundle 😍 🌿
- Whenever you see a story about how liberals aren't making their conservative peers feel welcome enough, this is who they're talking about.
- University of Illinois college republicans advocate for executing protesters as “traitors” with art that takes a disturbing killing and makes it even more extreme. dailyillini.com/news-stories...

- It's pretty amazing to me the amount of shit that apparently you can Just Do as an NYC mayor. It makes basically every other American politician look like an incompetent loser. What do you mean there was just a button that reversed wage theft? Why wasn't and isn't everyone hitting it all the time??
- Terrific story about community.

- If any liberal white people too afraid of criticizing their MAGA families wanna hire me to do it I'll gladly show up to your house and roast your entire family for $2500 an hour. And I'm gonna be there for a while because your grandparents need a talking to
- Good friend of mine is researching an infamous character from her rural town, and in doing so, came across a newspaper clipping from the late 1890's of a boy who had poisoned his father's porridge with Paris Green and skipped town. Now, this is where I fell down a rabbit hole. What is Paris Green?

- right like it seriously needs to be reiterated a billion times that the incidents here aren't conspiratorially unique but a machinic form of patriarchal violence and violation that occurs in fractals and scales at all levels of society. sexual abuse is the glue of structures of exploitation
- Hemlock and Silver is so good. Every time you think @tkingfisher.com has reached the pinnacle of "Steadfast lethal bodyguard who believes the heroine can do anything and would also die for her," she drops another banger.

- Take me down to the Parallax city where the far moves slow and the near moves quickly
- It’s frankly insulting that the worlds worst people weren’t meeting in a command center in a volcano wearing ceremonial robes but were all emailing on Hotmail accounts like “want 2 atrosity? With wemen?”
- It's been fun seeing The Consultants lose their mind about how they don't get this ad, which is the coolest shit she's done yet. (Also, yes, that's Matt Mercer, who I've come to learn since this ad dropped is more famous than Michael Jordan.)
