- Reposted by Liz PisaresI don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.
- Reposted by Liz PisaresICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glass—from car windows to store fronts to homes. It’s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: “We’re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.” And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

- Reposted by Liz PisaresThere is a growing problem of big name natural-science journals publishing social science that is "problematic". This reflects a inability to accept the statistical standards and skills in social science are often much much higher than in many areas of the natural sciences. (I'm a chemist btw).
