- #AASL25 was a blast! It always renews me as a librarian. Seeing national friends, going to fabulous sessions, and having amazing keynotes really raises the PD bar for me. Oh, and @mamagilbs.bsky.social and I presented two well-received sessions, too! Feeling like a rockstar heading home. 🥰
- The best travel and life partner ever. Super stoked for #AASL25 with @mamagilbs.bsky.social! #LibrarianPowerCouple
- STL bound! #AASL25, here we come!

- My middle school library needs a few more board games & card games! I have never seen kids want to play games with their friends as much as this year. Can you help? Chess & Uno are most requested. Thx so much in advance! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/... #TLSky #EduSky #schoollibrary
- I am super honored to be the newest guest on Steve's podcast, talking about my experience as a school librarian with integrating Conversational English in my makerspace. Worth a listen! (There's even a giveaway!) #TLSky
- I'll be interested to see if this is an anomaly or a pattern across the country. Interesting data about reading and school library visits! #TLSky
- I am so unbelievably proud of my wife @mamagilbs.bsky.social for starting her journey as a KQ Blogger this year! This is her latest post. Well worth the read for newbies and veteran school librarians alike. #powercouple

- I love this annual tradition of making paper snowflakes with @mamagilbs.bsky.social and hanging them on our kitchen cabinets. Easy and fun!
- Leave out a Scrabble board in the library, they said. Middle schoolers are the best. This gem was found after the students went to class one morning. #TLSky
- I treated my Student Library Advisory Team to a celebration today to thank them for all their hard work in the library so far this year. We had a hot chocolate bar and some chocolate (and non-choc) treats. They were ecstatic! #schoollibrary #TLSky

- A highlight of my week was hosting the Art Foundations class in my library and inviting them to explore the library's drawing books, adding ideas to their sketchbooks. Many were checked out at the end, too! #TLSky #Skybrarians

- Really enjoyed spending time with my Student Library Advisory Team today after school. We talked about ideas for a new book club, changed our displays, and played Book Title Pictionary! They are such a great crew who love reading and our library. ♥️📚
- The VAASL conference was exactly what we needed this past week! Keynotes and sessions were great, but most of all, the reunion of seeing all librarian friends is always the best part. It was great to get some time afterwards in Yorktown, too!
- It's ginger cat appreciation day! This one didn't appreciate being told that while he was surveying the backyard for possible intruders.
- I think my cat is broken.
