- Seriously starting to feel like I'm having a brain aneurysm when I read this doofus' pronouncements
- I'm sure an investigation will determine that the officer was in fear for his life and responsibly deployed less-lethal ordinance Against a 9 year old (Bodycam footage will be used to justify that as well)
- Boop
- Mayor Mamdani names criminal justice reformer Stanley Richards as NYC’s new Department of Correction commissioner Richards is the first formerly incarcerated person to lead the city’s jails system @gothamist.com @wnyc.org gothamist.com/news/mamdani...
- Happy 2026 to the Somerville Media Center! This is an incredible resource that i hope more people in the city will discover this year. And based on the size of the cake leftovers, yall can be confident that they have room for YOU to create with and for your neighbors!
- Reposted by JT ScottJudge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept." Astonishing thing for a judge to do.
- NEWS: Judge Biery has ordered the release of 5-year-old Liam Ramos. A thunderous rebuke against ICE’s violent campaign in Minnesota. Read the order below. Link: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
- I personally have bristled at being called "performative" by people who have never (a) actually performed, (b) have no idea what they are talking about, and (c) put personal grudges above their community. Sometimes all at once! But then I try to just shake it off and get back to the work.
- I think "Dunning-Kruger physiognomocracy" is probably correct But I nominate "Bureaucracy of Basic Buffoons" for everyday use
- It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAA
- "Abolish ICE" was submitted 9,200 times for Chicago's snowplow naming contest, records show. blockclubchi.co/3ZAnDTZ
- Reposted by JT ScottIt's not just "stand up to ICE when you see them," it's building many vast networks of support and trust to - create safe spaces - protect schools - get kids TO school - check on neighbors - deliver groceries - help pay the rent - let people know of danger - feed the helpers, too! - and on and on
- Thank you Rep @pressley.house.gov and Sen @markey.senate.gov Please do make sure it covers every other cop everywhere QI, like DHS, must be abolished
- There's no ICE accountability without ending qualified immunity. They're murdering people. There won't be justice for the lives they've stolen, but there must be accountability. My bill with @markey.senate.gov would ensure families can sue the agents murdering their loved ones.
- Hats off to Ecuador for being the most recent nation to repel an illegal invasion by the USA

- This is a great thread of reminders of the works of evil, and why DHS can only be destroyed (not "reformed")
- I'd also ask that they find 10% of the moral clarity of those Subaru pilots - it will be required to burn DHS to the ground and prosecute everyone employed there who cannot produce written contemporaneous evidence of their objections to these orders Dachau needed destruction, not body cameras
- Reposted by JT Scottjust gonna throw out a quick reminder that in America police kill a yearly average of 3 civilians per day, routinely in situations very similar to these ICE killings, and decades of explicit support for police impunity by US politicians is why ICE feels theyre able to get away with this right now
- Reposted by JT ScottI mean it’s true that there are “paid agitators” in Minneapolis. There are 3000 of them and they’ve assassinated two people.
- I've had folks ask what resources they can pass along to friends and relatives in Maine and elsewhere now facing threats. LUCE Mass is great, but not the people to call for ICE sightings in Maine. Try this guide!
- Hey y'all, I'm taking the very rare step of cancelling my weekly office hours tomorrow b/c of some *personal news* (it's my anniversary and I'll be out of town for a few days) I'll be back for regular office hours on Jan 30!

- Reposted by JT Scottif you cant instruct your local police to surround schools to protect them from ice because youre scared the cops will turn around and instead help kidnap children then you should state that plainly and clearly
- This is straight up fascist tyranny and complete disregard of the courts. Completely unconstitutional and illegal. Every resident has a moral obligation to reject this.
- No! No no no. Fund things that ACTUALLY protect neighbors, like community organizing or housing. I am not open to any talk of more funds for local law enforcement until i see the very first on-duty patrol officer ANYWHERE do *at least* what random Mpls residents are doing every day to resist ICE.
- No. No no no. Body cameras have always been a boondoggle that directs more public funds into policing and surveillance, and have never changed the fundamental problems at the core of our law enforcement practices. They are more often used against residents than for their benefit.
- Just move to Somerville already
- More of a guideline, really
- I think it's nice that the FBI is compiling a voluntary list of sadistic fascists to consult in the future Sure, the records retention is going to be bad but I have hope for the skill level of forensic hackers of future antifa bureaucrats
- Reposted by JT ScottCorey Booker announcing his legislation to make ICE wear body cameras a week after the entire Republican Party excused an ICE officer murdering somebody by showing the video the officer took with his own cell phone of him murdering them is a testament to how stupid Democrats think all of us are.
- When a majority say "ICE is bad, but the Democrats don't have good answers for anything" it is both (a) largely correct and (b) a recipe for the chuckleheads in power to just turn the nazi dial down a few notches and remain in power for much longer Which is awful We need to offer an alternative
- To be honest, I have owned a broiler pan for several decades and definitely never used it for the intended purpose either

- This is obviously vile. It is also obviously a sign that perimeter control and community patrols are being effective, if the agents are reduced to doing this instead of kidnapping.
- I don't think i say enough how much i appreciate my state rep @electerika.bsky.social

- The Somerville City Council approved a tax incentive plan which, together with incentives offered by the state, is bringing new jobs to Somerville. Here's to the use of creative incentives (and responsible clawback protections) to spur economic growth! Major props to all involved, incl OSPCD.
- Reposted by JT ScottNote that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.

- I like this guy. youtu.be/El0CLduLgew?...
- This is an interesting observation. It certainly lends credence to the idea that there is not enough federal force available to subdue a populace without local and state law enforcement assistance. Which then raises the question of what local forces will be directed to do now, and will they comply?

- Reposted by JT Scottreally feels like Becca Good saying “go get some lunch, big boy” is when he snapped. the kind of man who joins ICE is absolutely the kind of man who thinks women should die for saying things like that. they absolutely crash out when we aren’t cowering in fear and making them feel scary & powerful
- Reposted by JT ScottI need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK
- Please watch. This is a dedicated and fearful public servant pleading against a horrific future he sees clearly. When Gov Tim Walz invokes the Minnesota First's courage in 1863, and says that now may be that moment once again, all of us need to begin preparing. www.youtube.com/live/XDKYNwH...
- Reposted by JT ScottAOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.
- This is absolutely the correct call, and at the same time it's shameful that municipalities are required to take drastic measures to protect their residents from the federal govt. To Congress I say: No more funding, for anything. No more appointments, for anyone. No more approvals of anything.
- Reposted by JT ScottHere’s some things that can be done by a party out of power - file impeachment articles every day in the House - withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee - be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable
- My man looks like he spent 5 hours roasting Rob Schneider last night, and honestly I'm not mad about it Just stellar work here; petty as art (Reposting this today as penance for my "old man yells at cloud" rant about LLMs yesterday)
- I am going to steadfastly oppose AI/LLM usage in any - and I do mean any - capacity in our government functions. Our neighbors and our children deserve a real live human to communicate with when they need help. At the very least they don't need more mental health risks. wapo.st/49uy2q1
- Part of why I'm so fired up is that I see reckless usage of this stuff already being normalized by people who I would sincerely hope know better: local govt officials. It's a bad example to set, and we all deserve better than this.
