- not mutually exclusive... woowoo is a craft too
- as a musician i don't believe we can reverse what streaming has done to music consumption or restore music's product value. the problem was always commodification. i use the word "consumption" intentionally bc i think music survives by being a participatory cultural activity, not a product
- i do want the white nationalists to be replaced, and it will be great

- what do i need to do to get my bluesky feed to feel like this
- lets be clear.. hiphop and r&b are funk, and edm is disco. of course, both disco and funk are soul, and soul is rhythm & blues, which is naturally the blues but notably also rock n roll, which is punk, which is post-hardcore and thrash, which together are nu metal, which is funk
- it's strange living in this moment with so much precedent, with the ability to point to history and say "look, fascism is back, it's happening just like it did before" which people in the 1930s couldn't do in the same way. and yet we still see regular ppl justifying/ignoring it like they did before
- Reposted by sioneREST IN POWER! Marxist historian and political scientist Michael Parenti has passed away at the age of 92. He devoted his life to dissenting from the mainstream, challenging power and institutions, exposing contradictions, and ripping the mask off of propaganda. ‘The third world is not poor.’
- there are literally like 15 gyms w/in a 200m radius of my house + every day gymgoers stand outside my front door talking loudly + today at 8am ppl were doing an ice bath challenge across the street blasting royalty free country music from their cars. the gymtrification of my suburb must be stopped
- i love finding art online and sometimes i'll find an artist making impressive work but as i look further something feels off. there's no natural through-line or sense of inquiry. feels like trading cards or something. that's when i inevitably notice the link to a blockchain-based art marketplace

- i love when a video game opens in a safe indoor location with lots of small breakable items on tables, and while i'm smashing everything in the room the tutorial character is saying stuff like "c'mon [player], they're waiting for us down the hall"
- ime it severely depends on the tone of your post. i've had a few innocent "here's a silly thing i made" or "i love this thing" ones that were like 90+% positive. but one time it was some flippant contrarian music take and it was the WORST, i had to delete it bc i felt ashamed at what i had created
- i guess it's as good a time as any for me to share this bumper sticker mockup i made a while back (feel free to use it as you please)
- been very excited to discover my fav math rock band in the world put out a new album recently. the most perfect intersection of polyrhythmic grooves, emo and sludge to my ears + way too underrated www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMda...
- Malinauskas has since clarified that he only supports far right zionists when they've murdered over 100,000 people
- i hope Peter Malinauskis gets banned from all SA arts events in the future, if you tank our arts industry you don't get to pretend you gaf
- normally when a hollywood production tackles revolutionary themes the best they can do is end nihilistically or chicken out right before showing successful revolutionary violence but i think Andor very cleverly got around this by being about the build up to another movie's iconic happy ending
- I'm learning korean not english bitch
- i love the Returnal soundtrack so much that it makes me want to get the game and i have to remind myself i hate boss battles and roguelikes
- most if not all Indigenous writers & allies pulled out of Adelaide Writers Week immediately, which the Adelaide Festival board surely expected but anyway i'm just going to share this write up on Jawun, the nonprofit that board member Tony Berg was the director of for 16 years before he joined AF
- never engage with the "self-defence" argument from the people who say IDF snipers are defending themselves against toddlers
- everything we're seeing in the US-led west right now is about laying the logistical & social groundwork for what they intend to do to the entire global south this century as climate change displaces millions. they want us habituated to military police and summary executions and genocide
- 4 hour walk n talk in this 33°C night with an old hs bestie i haven't seen in years, got home and had a cold shower and when i stepped out and looked at my face in the mirror i felt like i saw myself for the first time purely with the eyes of a loved one and was like wow I'm beautiful
- something about reflections of lights in water and shiny/wet/rippling surfaces at night always helps with my derealisation
- music i worked on from this year
- there has been more than one thing i was going to include in my year-end wrap ups which i realised occurred last year... it has really been the year of losing it
- that person's twt account was hacked shortly after they posted this (sus) but it's the only clear-eyed, constructive commentary i've read on these horrors amid all the noise. necessary reading as we head into a 2026 where i anticipate Things Will Happen
- it's globalize the intifada or barbarism
- never let them tell you making music is "inaccessible"
- Reposted by sioneAnyway. This is the gaming industry's consumer base's view on a technology that a bunch of people in the industry insist relentlessly is "here to stay" and we "have to accept"
- i don't like when the response to people using AI to make art/music is "not everyone is meant to make art" EVERYONE can make art without AI, and should if they want to. the problem (which AI is capitalising on) is that many falsely believe there are formal/genetic prerequisites to doing so
- just found this early Wishing test (july 2023) that looks so much sicker than the version of this shot that made it into the final version lol damn. i changed it bc the shake didn't make sense in the story context but maybe i shoulda kept more, also lighting is nicer 🥹 #b3d #3danimation
