Proud Minnesotan. Skol!
- Had a ton of fun moderating a shark cinema conversation between @stephenscarlata.bsky.social and Paul Bales at @academymuseum.bsky.social Check out the JAWS exhibit if you haven't already! The Bong Joon Ho exhibit is great too.

- I loved the Kid Rock cameo in the SILICON VALLEY pilot because he clearly wasn't fully in on the joke. It wasn't just that these tech billionaires could afford Kid Rock to play their lame launch party - it was also meant to convey that despite $$$ they were dorks with bad taste.
- Reposted by Josh MillerOne of my favorite jokes of all time is "Adolph Hitler Commits Suicide" being a tiny headline under the banner story about a hare-vs-tortoise race ... in 1943, two years before Hitler committed suicide. He was alive and well when the Warner Bros. cartoonists made this joke.
- Sold. You had me at - Lou Ferrigno horror movie.

- SEND HELP is wild fun. Definitely worth seeing in the theater. Also has the subtlest easy-to-miss Bruce Campbell cameo.
- Pretty hilarious. Never seen my Minnesota Scandinavian roots ethnically profiled before. Though it would indeed be very Minnesotan to be both militant AND worried about being rude.
- Chris Rufo is so upset about the Minneapolis protests that he is resorting to anti-Nordic racism christopherrufo.com/p/the-curse-...
- Reposted by Josh MillerNow: Bruce Springsteen sings “Streets of Minneapolis” in Minneapolis
- Huge loss to the world. Icon gone. Catherine O'Hara was one of the greats.
- Only halfway into first ep of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and I proclaim it great!
- I've had nachos three times this week. Emotionally I can't tell if that means my week is great or terrible.
- Sharing this again - my friend Paul in Minnesota is finally out of the hospital with a traumatic brain injury courtesy of ICE, and is now facing criminal charges for his protesting actions. Give a little to a stranger if you can!

- LA shark movie fans - I'm moderating a FREE panel convo this Friday afternoon at the Academy Museum. The website's wording is misleading - you DON'T need a ticket to attend - the show will be in the museum's lobby, which is open to the public. That said, I also highly recommend the museum itself!
- Reposted by Josh MillerI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free
- He's keeping one hand soft for his woman, like Curley in OF MICE AND MEN. Question is - who are George and Lenny in this metaphor?

- Reposted by Josh Miller"You raise your voice, I erase your voice." ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights. Please share our new video of what's happening in our city. youtu.be/W1dyNcRGRXY
- Laura Dern's intro to WILD AT HEART last night was pretty amazing. I feel like everyone almost cried (or did cry) when she had the whole theater sing Happy Birthday to David Lynch.

- As a Minnesotan, I can't help but think of this episode of the The Sopranos watching ICE wildly underestimate what they're up against with the locals...
- Should you feel inspired to kick in some $$ to a stranger suffering after standing up against injustice - Paul is an awesome dude being punished (both physically and legally) for trying to help his community.
- Just slap some tariffs on that thing.
- People gotta go see BONE TEMPLE. I wanna see the third film in the trilogy!
- Reposted by Josh MillerOne of the best things I’ve read in a while:
- THE BONE TEMPLE is a blast. Curious if its tepid box office was because it arrived too soon after the previous film - or if not enough people liked the previous film? The Iron Maiden scene alone is worth the price of admission.

- The first book my horror book club read back in 2017 was Joe Hill's HEART-SHAPED BOX (which is so awesome). Achievement unlocked today when we finally got @joe-hill.bsky.social to join us for a discussion of NOS4A2 (also so awesome). One of the best authors in the genre right now.
- Like sharks? Live in LA? Free on Jan 30th? We're doing a thing at the Academy Museum.
- Very curious to see what the general reaction is when this comes out. Definitely a love it or hate it kind of flick. I thought it was a blast. Happy to have a new Verbinski movie. Kind of a Jason Pargin story done with MOUSE HUNT energy.
- Reposted by Josh MillerJust days into 2026, the killing of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has sparked protests around the US. If you’re planning to protest, here’s how to safeguard your digital security.

- Here me out - I want Jim Wynorski's AVATAR 4. Back in the day it seemed like all genre film franchises went to him eventually.
- My fav part of @letterboxd.social Year In Review is seeing who my most watched actor is. Because it is rarely a movie star and almost always some great character actor who had like one scene is a zillion movies. Go Larry Hankin!
- Raphael I might expect. But Michelangelo? I'm assuming he got canceled for making an off-color pizza joke on a podcast and has now retreated into right-wing culture.
- Reposted by Josh MillerAt least we don’t live in a world of staggering class disparity in which a tech magnate attempts to quash left-wing sentiment using sexualized artificial intelligence!
- My wife and I always spend January 1st watching COLUMBO. Gotta start the year on the right foot!

- Excellent Christmas present from the wife. I remember when this MALLRATS teaser poster was in the theaters.
- Celebrating Rob Reiner. Watched THIS IS SPINAL TAP and MISERY. Two wildly different and very perfect movies.
