Lot of people like to do sorta self congratulatory The Libs were right/will save us bit but I think that undersells how weird a place normal people are in politically. Moms are ready to throw a brick through a window
I don’t assume this means that normal people are being pushed to the left although I think they’re amenable to it, I just think they’ve been failed so many times that the distinctions are less important
the twin cities are obviously a bit of an exception, but i was recently bagging groceries with a little old lady in a jean jacket who was talking to me about a guy telling her about late stage capitalism and the importance of creating dual power and she looked to be in complete agreement
