Tim Boyle is never gonna knock doors for you Tina!!!!!

- Over the past month, our coalition and our community came together to say, NO CUTS, NO COMPROMISES. Thank you for every email, phonecall, public comment, and PB&J assembly line for toddlers at evening meetings. Together, we won Preschool for All- AGAIN! The tax cuts are paused!
- Live shot of Andrew Hoan from Portland Metro Chamber as the Multnomah County Board begins debating cuts to Preschool for All
- Spoiler alert: it's actually way, way hard to take candy from a baby whose community is well organized and fights back.
- Let's take a look at some examples of how the Preschool For All tax works! 👀 It's a progressive revenue mechanism that will guarantee all these payers free preschool once the program goes universal, an average saving of $16,000 per year.✨
- "What's the median income in Multnomah County" you ask? Great question! About $86k, or about 2/3rds of the income of the lowest-income-filer of the Preschool For All tax.

- Shocked to see that the Governor of Oregon's brilliant plan to *check notes* gut the universal free preschool program in Multnomah County which pays a living wage to childcare workers didn't make the list. www.americanprogress.org/article/prom...
- Don't let them get away with it. Join us at our Town Hall to Protect Preschool for All! Food, childcare, and Spanish interpretation provided.
- Key point not covered in the article: IF the indexing proposal passes this August, Preschool For All will be BANKRUPT by 2031. This is a wildly undemocratic maneuver by Commissioner Brim Edwards, doing the dirty work for PMC and Gov. Kotek. www.wweek.com/news/schools...
- Just how undemocratic? November 2020 is the highest turnout election in Oregon history. A total of 2,413,890 ballots were cast statewide, a record at the time that has still not been surpassed. This was verified by checking all general elections (November of even numbered years) since 2010.
- Preschool for All (Measure 26-214) passed with a strong majority of over 64%: 286,068 “yes” votes versus 160,317 “no” votes.
