- Fantastic start to #JPMWeek! Many great introductions, discussions and this great sunset at the Golden Gate Yacht Club during the #BLPN kickoff event. Across the #JPM26 events, there were continued discussions on #CRISPR and Cell and Gene Therapy.
- Inaugural Genetic Agency Conference #GATC25 included many great sessions & talks, including 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐲 on her life with sickle cell disease, her groundbreaking Casgevy CRISPR treatment, and her subsequent journey as a patient advocate. Powerful reminder of why this technology matters!
- Met many friends & colleagues at #ASHG2025, inc Andy McNamara & Yann Jouvenot, friends since Sangamo. Also met people at ASHG that I worked with while at Repligen, Georgia Tech, Tularik, UCSF and CRISPR Therapeutics - so covered many years!
- This year, I am not joining colleagues at #CGMesa25 or #ESGCT2025, but here in Boston for 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 #FBW2025. Please let me know if you are also attending and want to meet up this week! #CRISPR in #Boston

- First they condemned Calvin, then went after Hobbes But seriously, book banners now looking at Calvin and Hobbes and many, many more acclaimed books, sometimes even without a review panel. Another sign of the changing times.
- How profoundly sad. The kids deprived of reading Calvin and Hobbes are the kids who need them the most. My brother put it best: "We know we’re fucked when they come for your cartoon stuffed tigers." Let's go sit in the grass and crack open "The Days are Just Packed." pen.org/magic-tree-h...
