- Just back from a week working in Chile & a nice catch in Ashurst, New Forest this morning! Blair's Mocha nfg, my 2nd White-Speck for the garden, 12 White Point, ferrugalis, xylostella & what I think is the rare crab spider Philodromus margaritatus #teammoth @migrantmothuk.bsky.social
- After 2 weeks away on holiday it is difficult to resist posting a Merveille du Jour on my return to Ashurst, New Forest, but Musotima nitidalis is arguably just as beautiful! A late Aproaerema anthylidella also good to see #teammoth
- Jersey Mocha was a nice nfg in Ashurst, New Forest this morning. Probably resident now as there are a few other local records. Deep-brown Dart & Cypress Pug also nfy, plus 3 Vestal, 5 noctuella, 3 Four-spotted Footman & 4 L-album Wainscot #teammoth
- Clifden nonpareil has become a 1 or 2 a year moth for me in Ashurst, New Forest but it is always great to be reminded quite how huge (& beautiful) it is #teammoth

- Obsidentify says 'C rufana' 100%, but I think this is Celypha rosaceana, nfg, in Ashurst, New Forest - views welcome! I'm hopeless on leaf mines, so assistance welcome on this sycamore leaf: Obsidentify says it is fungal (Sycamore Tarspot), but I wondered about Phyllonorycter geniculella #teammoth
- Always nice to see Psychoides filicivora (Common Fern Moth) from this morning's MV in Ashurst, New Forest #teammoth

- Grass Emerald was a notable absentee from the garden list in Ashurst, New Forest - until today. Also Musotima nitidalis (Australiasian native, now well established in the #NewForest) but it flew off in the dining room before I could photograph it & yet to be relocated.. #teammoth

- Jersey Tiger is a relatively recent addition to the garden list in Ashurst, New Forest & always nice to see, alongside Anania coronata in this morning's MV. Garden list for the year now 455 #teammoth
- Dingy Mocha is a Red Data Book & Biodiversity Action Plan specialty of Hants/Dorset: when I caught my first one since starting trapping 1990 in the garden in Ashurst, New Forest in April I thought it was just a wanderer, but a second one today encourages me that it is now established here #teammoth

- Small Purple Barred the best from this morning's mv in Ashurst, New Forest. Not uncommon on the forest rides but less than annual in the garden #teammoth

- No genuine migrants in Ashurst, New Forest today but a couple of my favourite micros: Pseudopostega crepusculella is a tiny white moth with amazing eye caps, while Parachronistis albiceps is a beautiful 'pied piper' Gelechid (but it flew off before a decent photo!) Year list up to 313. #teammoth
