- If I understand correctly, the new bill offers tax break to employers. It incentivizes reporting cash tips to employees. Also it expires 2028. A ploy to identify otherwise low income workers who would then potentially no longer qualify for Medicaid or SNAP if all cash tips were reported. Not good.
- I got caught up in the panic about the bill. I am weak. But I remember that I have survived without health insurance before. And I’m gonna keep doing my best to stay alive regardless. It does however suck that many people didn’t know that SNAP already has work requirements added in 2023 under biden.
- Legal precedent, decorum, standards and expectations of a “civilized” society. Who now will tell us which genocides are acceptable? There are no meaningful shards of bourgeois democracy worth saving. That time has passed. It’s revolution and socialism or it’s barbarism.

- The merit system by which women are judged and do judge each other is designed as a competition for social status as determined by patriarchal, misogynist standards. It’s a moving target, unrealistic, unachievable. None can ever be enough to really win.
