- It’s perplexing that people in the US act shocked about stuff like this. Groups all over the planet have committed genocide against distant family, neighbors, and peoples who look just like them. Intracommunal violence sanctioned by the state and nonwhite people aiding white supremacy aren’t new.
- So much of the story of the USA is people who are not white fighting, killing, and suppressing each other on behalf of white interests. Countless slaves betrayed revolts and Native people sided with settlers against other Native people. This has been the case since the beginning of this country!
- It also seems EXTREMELY hard for people in the USA to understand the difference between race, nationality, and ethnicity. There are white people all over the world, including in the countries across the Americas. Multiple races exist in other countries, too.
