- Reposted by Jeff Linderwow -- with Trump standing behind him, a man (not sure who he is) offers this prayer: "We pray that he would be mindful of the poor and that he would be invested in the alleviation of suffering happening in the families preparing to bury their loved ones in Minneapolis."

- Oh boy. “The University of Florida and the Florida Department of Health in Alachua County are investigating potential measles exposure in two UF classes following two confirmed cases in the county. Health officials have begun contacting individuals who may have been exposed.” @aetiology.bsky.social

- Very excited for @shwoolf.bsky.social's @ipham.bsky.social visit today. He co-authored one of my favorite papers arguing it's unlikely that new discoveries will provide more benefit that simply delivering what we already know works to more Americans www.annfammed.org/content/3/6/...
- In the context of Peter Attia being in the Epstein files, @drjengunter.bsky.social nails the rot at the heart of the “longevity” movement, a grift that appeals to the ego of rich people.
- Peter Attia is in the Epstein files and I read a bunch of the emails so you don’t have to. I can’t imagine taking the first call or email. But longevity is about proximity to wealth and power. substack.com/@vajenda/not...

- Reposted by Jeff LinderI have been watching this Livestream. Lots of interesting topics with loads of misinformation, poor policy development, and evidence of selection bias. Here is a minor, insignificant point that still drove me nuts. 1/14

- Reposted by Jeff LinderI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

- You should have an unfettered right to carry a firearm to keep yourself safe. Or, also, so government agents can use it as a pretext to murder you.

- Reposted by Jeff LinderAlex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him. White. Hot. Rage.

- Reposted by Jeff LinderSome perspective: The S&P opened down -1.3% on Trump's Greenland saber-rattling. That's $750 billion of wealth destroyed -- roughly equal to estimates of the value of Greenland. And so ~in dollar terms~ his shenanigans have already cost the US one Greenland, and we've got nothing to show for it.

- 🤦♂️Presently reviewing a grant that has, average, 3 abbreviations per sentence. Many sentences have 6 or more. I'd throw out that if your text has more than one abbreviation per sentence -- which is already a lot -- you are just frustrating your reviewers. Don't make your reviewers hate you.
- This is potentially good. Maybe we've peaked for this go round. (Though it's only one data point.) #MedSky #influenza #flu
- So, I actually thought the final, Northwestern-produced video about antisemitism and anti-Muslim bias wasn’t terrible. Other modules were some of the most insipid, infuriating content I’ve ever had the misfortune to be assigned to me.
