- The 2026 Global Game Jam #GGJ26 was last weekend, so let's take a look at their historical data for engine usage. 📈 @godotengine.org is having a good run! #Godot is now firmly established as the #2 engine in game jams (correlated by #GMTKJam data), rapidly closing the gap with #Unity.

- There’s only one place where code must be flawless, and unreadable. The International Obfuscated C Code Contest. Every year the entries are absurdly good…and there’s still room for more! You’ve got until March 13th to enter.

- Starting to gain the energy to pick up #Golang some more and implement the basic data structures. Stack and Queue are done more or less; hoping to do Linked Lists, Heaps soon I enjoy Go's clean syntax and formatting, but I'm still getting around its idiosyncrasies; #programming #coding

- I made a tool that makes retro anime sound effects. Meet AnimeVox! I made it for a game, but it's free to use. I'm using the forgotten (but popular in 80s japan) Schroeder reverb algo, and some wobble. If you find it useful consider supporting me on itch :) castpixel.itch.io/animevox
- PSA: You can love Jewish people and be against Zionism. You can want a free Palestine and a free Iran at the same time. You can love a population of people and also hate people in that population who hate other people. All things can be true. It’s not always one or the other.

- A much older game I worked on with my brother, @bluattire.bsky.social, its a little rough around the edges but I'm still proud of the work I'd done as its coder. It's of course available here; #gamedev #indiegame #godot #madeingodot #shmup

- Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software. Just fuck you. Fuck you all. I can't remember the last time I was this angry.
- I've made the switch to waterfox; It really is as simple as they say; the import function that firefox had really helped and made this seamless, painless even; it was a shame it had to go like this; #fuckai
- For 2026, I've decided to renew a lot of my daily routine; after finding some empty notebooks on my room's shelves, I've decided to take up handwriting a journal this year; I'll be tracking my progress the old fashioned way; as a coder and a creative #journaling #newyear #resolution #programming

- Booted up #DragonAgeOrigins for the first time today; enjoying what I'm seeing here, yeah. what gets me is how at least in the #steam version, the HIGHEST graphical settings work the best and cure all the graphics glitches; weird.
- Discovered this developer survey by Paul Mcmahon and the people at TokyoDev; It's interesting what they now have on developers in Japan as of last year; 2025.surveys.tokyodev.com/en-US/ #programming, #tokyodev
