- If any nursing home closes: 1: HUGE impact on acute care hospitals that won't be able to transfer patients out for skilled care. 2: the elderly, debilitated patients that live there have no family to provide the required care/housing, that's why they're there - where are they to go when they close?

- Our pets often take up more space in our hearts than most humans in our lives - they leave a big hole. In my life, I have found that my grief for my best dog was longer and more complicated than my loss of some people. Peace to you ❤️🩹

- Unbelievable. So the U.S. gathered them up without due process and decided to pay El Savador to incarcerate them for 1 YEAR (that is not deporting them "back", but of course, we can renew that 1 year plan and pay El Salvador to keep them. I am so ashamed of my country right now.

- Speaking as a nurse and a health care ethicist , our health care system is so broken - but our health care workers are also breaking. Professionals are collapsing under the demands of our capitalism-driven health care system and the associated moral injury. Change can't come fast enough.
