1: HUGE impact on acute care hospitals that won't be able to transfer patients out for skilled care.
2: the elderly, debilitated patients that live there have no family to provide the required care/housing, that's why they're there - where are they to go when they close?

VERY true - whether it's within nursing homes trying to stay afloat with skeleton crews, or families who must leave their elder at home alone without the required care while they go to work :(
