- Reposted by Phil EstesA "who's who of open source" - the leaders joining the SOOCon26 Advisory Board reflect the breadth of our global community, from students to community and business leaders, as well as technical wizards. SOOCon 26 will take place on 3-4 Feb 2026 in London. stateofopencon.com #opensource #soocon26
- The CFP for Container Plumbing Days is closing soon on April 13th! Last year's event in Seattle was awesome: spending focused time with a smaller group including key project maintainers & contributors from many runtime and distribution projects around the container space. Submit now!
- The @containerd.dev maintainer session is underway at #KubeCon EU in London with an awesome cross-section of contributors and maintainers from both the core project and subprojects like nerdctl and runwasi.
- Reposted by Phil EstesWe'll be talking about @containerd.dev in just about an hour! Come join us in Platinum Suite Level 3 Room 3-4 at 5:30! #KubeConEU
- If you’re around KubeCon, join me, @samuelkarp.com, Akihiro Suda, Maksym Pavlenko and Jiaxiao Zhou later today to talk about @containerd.dev news! sched.co/1td0k

- Excited for a week with lots of friends and colleagues at KubeCon EU in London 🇬🇧 Headed to maintainer summit for the day.

- I’ll be demoing SOCI lazy loading with Finch client and AWS Fargate at the open source zone at #awsreinvent for the next hour! Drop by 6-7pm
- Good morning #awsreinvent! ☀️
- Reposted by Phil EstesAlso up... EKS Auto Mode! This fully automates node creation, provisioning, and lifecycle management. A TON of work went into this, making it way more than just a managed Karpenter controller, and includes new EC2 primitives. aws.amazon.com/about-aws/wh...
- Heading to #awsreinvent for the week and will be talking a lot about lazy loading container tech (SOCI), Finch, and related open source! Happy to catch up on these or any other topics if you’re interested to meet up!
- Reposted by Phil EstesJoin me, @estesp.dev, @kirtana-ashok.bsky.social, @mikebrow.bsky.social, and Akihiro Suda for a conversation about containerd! 2:55pm Hyatt Regency | Level 4 | Regency Ballroom A sched.co/1hoyS
- Starting now in 247B at #KubeCon : Sam Karp, one of our maintainers talking all about @containerd.dev 2.0!
- Doing my part to add some @containerd.dev hats to the #KubeCon hat scene. Got most of the Dagger team to wear them 🧢😁 @shykes.bsky.social
- Most fun surprise of #KubeCon today? Meeting 2 NFL players learning about tech from the best “tour guide” @kelseyhightower.com, who are looking into early stage tech investing. Super cool! 🏈
- SLC on 🔥 🏔️
- Anyone else getting an error with the #KubeCon and co-located feed? "Hmm, some kind of issue occurred when contacting the feed server. Please let the feed owner know about this issue. Message from server: Upstream service unreachable" (@terrytangyuan.xyz any ideas; you created this I think?)
- Amazing to see the difference between a seasoned employee and a newbie. 2 different AA agents yesterday: 1 told me no way to get to SLC because of flight delays. The other came a few minutes later and came up with a route that got me here at 1am (over 3 flights 😅) Happy to make it but need coffee!
- The fun part was being kind to both of them even when my travel plans were upended. Sadly they are used to people yelling at them as if it was their fault. I was able to thank both of them for taking 30 minutes of their day to find something that worked best. 🤗
- Excited to see our team's continued work on Finch, now with devcontainers integration in VSCode! aws.amazon.com/blogs/openso...
- Now you can follow the containerd project here on Bluesky 🦋
- Hi 👋 Bluesky! We're joining our friends like @kubernetes.io here and look forward to interacting with our cloud native community here. Let us know what you think of containerd 2.0 and catch us next week at KubeCon/CloudNativeCon North America!
- Starting the week off at #AllThingsOpen in Raleigh. Nice to have such a large open source community event on the east coast; no flights, easy drive and lots of open source friends in attendance! Already bumped into @jonobacon.bsky.social @chrisshort.net @cra.dev @lisamarienamphy.bsky.social and more

- 🎤 <tap tap> We're back! I love to see all the familiar faces here, and looks like @kelseyhightower.com added an avalanche to the former trickle of bluesky movers. Looking forward to some in-person time with cloud native peeps at KubeCon, LF Member Summit, and re:Invent over the next several weeks!
