- Reposted by Divverter DykeNo joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition. Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
- Lost my license once again. Grabbed my current read for the train ride downtown
- Hopefully before 2030 the crimes of the low density around the Berwyn Red line stop will be righted. The huge surface lot for the shopping center by the Howard stop must be converted to housing as well if we're really serious about increasing housing supply.

- Haven't needed to travel on Clark south of Devon but something tells me the bike lane in the quoted tweet looks better than Clark St. in Edgewater
- Alright, who are the four other people ahead of me on the holds list for this? 👀

- Loved seeing a Tern buddy at the store last night. Jewel off Chicago Ave in Evanston
- I've been wondering what the average bus speed is for Chicago's buses since Active Transportation Alliance conducted their Bus Report Card study. Considering the growth in cars in Chicag, I'm not at all surprised by this pathetic speed for an "express" bus.

- I actually enjoyed biking in the snow earlier today. Took Clark St instead of side streets in my part of Rogers Park and it was fine. Felt like I was riding in a snow globe.
- Called one car in for blocking the crosswalk and came home to see three cars ticketed🥳🥳
- Very grateful for my intuition. I avoided at least three wipeouts in the Clark St bike lane tonight.
- That Evanston/Chicago border continues to reveal which city cares about clear sidewalks in the winter and which one doesn't

- It was very tempting to work from home today so I could admire the waves. 😭😭

- A bike lane is only as good as its weakest link and wow are the Clark St. bike lanes between Winnemac and Montrose weak AF at the bus stops. There were 3 parked cars at the bus stop and within the bike lane at 4898 N Clark. I really Chicago had a bounty program for parking violations.
- Fell in love with this sink and vowed to watch more YouTube videos about beautiful Japanese public bathrooms when I got home 😂😂🤓
- First checkout of the year and I noticed this in my receipt email 👀 Okay, I see you @chipublib.bsky.social
- First time missing a RTA survey😭 I wanted to brag on Metra a little bit
- Excellent bike lane maintenance for the Clark St protected lanes 🙄 Clark & Leland going northbound

- The amount of drivers blasting through stop signs tonight is deeply disturbing
- I’m cat sitting for someone with a good view of that parking lot on Morse between Paulina and Clark and every time I see that lot I boil with anger. Rogers Park needs more housing and we’re wasting valuable space to store cars. The lot isn’t even a quarter of the way full right now. What a waste!!
- Even with slowing down for the snow it’s faster to bike than use the CTA. I wish this wasn’t the case.
- Is this a CDOT issue or a CDOT and aldermanic discretion issue? Neither? Damen and Lawrence has a concrete barrier around the bike lane. Great. Love it. The 5700 block of Ashland where cars regularly go 50mph does not have a concrete barrier around the bike lane. Currently there is no bike lane.
- Why is Wilson so wide between Damen and Western?!
