- This this this. I think switching and learning new disciplines is a good thing! I never want to shut that down. I’ve crossed disciplines many times. But there are many people don’t want to put in the work and years of training to learn the skillset they yearn for so they just hover. The worst.

- Nothing, and I mean nothing, sucks more than a producer who doesn’t realize they actually want to be a designer or writer, etc. When this happens it screws up feedback, communication, team morale, and leads to a lot of wasted time. Sucks so much.
- i call friends out of the blue but if they are under the age of fifty now i send a text saying “hey calling you in a minute. not an emergency”. after a few times doing this they eventually realize “oh this is just what lis does” and eventually they start to call you unprompted and it’s wonderful

- calling and accepting an unprompted call on the phone should be a basic life skill!
- everyone talks about the loneliness crisis and my very subjective theory is the decline of casual phone calls in lieu of texts and DMs has made it so much worse. physically hearing the voice of your friends regularly and casually matters!
