- 🇬🇧 Welcome and congrats to our first international employee, Sudam Dias! 🇬🇧 Based in London, Sudam will work closely with our partners at MintNeuro as we advance neural ASIC development through our collaboration with Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA).
- We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew Chen, MD, PhD to our team as a Senior Scientist! Andrew is a psychiatrist and will specialize in machine learning at Motif. He'll also work closely with our Community Advisory Board to integrate our lived experience experts into clinical efforts.
- Andrew graduated from MIT with a B.S. in Physics and Biology. He completed his MD/PhD at Columbia University working in computational biology of cancer immunotherapy. His research interests include digital phenotyping, clinical use of LLMs, and precision medicine within psychiatry.
- We all want to regulate our brain activity. Quite often we utilize substances and activities to try and achieve this even if they don't work very well or have negative side effects. We turn to antiquated solutions because they are safe and familiar 🧵
- As we continue advancing into a technology-enhanced future, can we create and then accept novel technologies that do a better job?
- How can we usher in an era where technological interfacing with our brains is as commonplace and successful as pacemakers are used in our hearts? What are the roadblocks in our way?
- @jacobrobinson.bsky.social explores the history and future of regulating our biology with technology on the MARS stage.
- It’s a long road for someone suffering from severe mental illness. Antidepressants, TMS sessions at a clinic, ketamine, ECT. A plethora of antiquated options that leave patients still searching for relief. “How is this real?”
- Reposted by Motif NeurotechOur next #InterfaceNeuroGT session highlighted cutting-edge techniques for measuring and manipulating sensorimotor and cognitive behavior — across species and across scales. Sponsored by McCamish Parkinson's Disease Innovation Program and chaired by @drannabellesinger.bsky.social.
- Last month, we had the privilege of being invited to share our advancements and our vision for the future of mental health care at the MARS conference.
- For those unfamiliar, it's a semi-secret, invitation-only event for about 160 guests hosted by Jeff Bezos. It champions a hopeful outlook on scientific breakthroughs to propel a new era of innovation. We were incredibly honored to receive the invitation.
- We believe it reflects the dedication and effort our team has put in over the past several years. Jacob had the chance to present our prototype DOT on stage and describe our progress building neural devices to help people live better lives. 📸: Benjamin Rose Photography
- Check out the view from Deep Tech Week NYC this week 🏙️ 😮💨. @jacobrobinson.bsky.social shared the stage with some great neurotech leaders for an evening of networking and industry collaboration. Shoutout to Psymed, Data Joint and Actual VC for hosting such a wonderful night!
