- Another fun find for our Bug Bunkers Project - O. villosa is one of the largest springtails in the UK, reaching up to 5mm in length. We now have recorded 7375 individual invertebrates as part of this survey - and still one month to go! Thanks to Sabina George for this photo.

- Starting the New Year off with a great finding in our Bug Bunkers Project. This is a pirate spider egg sac, found in a bug bunker at Gosling Sike @cumbriawildlife.bsky.social ! Pirate spiders create these awesome structures which contain 5-15 eggs. What have you found so far in 2025?
