- I recently received confirmation that the Labour Government would be committing more than £5million to improve SEND provision in Downham Market. This week I went to Ryston End in Downham to call on Norfolk County Council to use the money to reopen the former school site as a specialist SEND school.
- Today, I visited the Royal Mail Delivery Office in Downham Market to meet with local posties and Customer Operations Manager, Michael, to say a big thank you for the work they do to keep us all connected.

- Last week, in Parliament, I asked the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle MP, two questions about the steps he is taking to encourage investment in business, and particularly businesses in rural areas to help unlock growth potential.
- I was pleased to spend some time this week collecting donations for the Royal British Legion at Sainsbury’s in Thetford. RBL is a remarkable charity who work tirelessly to provide support to our Armed Forces community, wherever and whenever it’s needed, and it is an honour to champion their work.

- I was in Kings Lynn last night to support The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust Awards Ceremony. This event recognises the fantastic staff and volunteers that provide incredible service to patients and visitors at the QEH.

- As I have said with regards the Queen Elizabeth Hospital its staff and patients have been let down for many, many years. We needing to putting resources in, we need to be putting money in and our residents deserve far better when it comes to healthcare.

- Today, I met with a group of farmers including H G Bliss Farms and Norfolk NFU - National Farmers' Union reps to talk about all things farming related, including sugar beet, irrigation and abstraction, APR, disease and pests, and other rural economy issues. A very useful and worthwhile conversation.

- My fortnightly Lynn News column was published today, and in it I speak about my recent summer listening tour, the importance of engagement and how South West Norfolk communities are at the heart of the work I do.
- #ChangeHasBegun Labour are bringing stability back to the country's finances we're putting more money in people's pockets.
- This morning, I met with Forestry England to discuss the work they are doing locally and to get a better understanding of their challenges and opportunities. We spoke about the importance of tourism to the region, including environmental tourism and ways to widen accessibility to the forest.
- We desperately need a railway system that people can rely on in the East of England. Whether passengers are taking a single trip or commuting every day, they should feel that the railway is there to help them. I believe that people should trust that their train will be on time.
