- Bought these candles today. The lady in the shop sniffed at them and said how nice they smell. I did the same, knowing full well they don't smell of anything until you light them. I was complicit in her lie.

- I had a wonderful time at Celebrate The Winners at Wirral Poetry Festival this afternoon at Gladstone Theatre. I read my poem, runner-up in the Wirral category, to a lovely audience. Thanks to the festival team, judge Pauline Rowe & huge congrats to my fellow prize winners
