- Any Lucia's family got her out of Honduras as a child because of violence sparked by drug gang, led by the likes of ex-Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández, who was serving 45 years for cocaine smuggling until Trump pardoned him last week, b/c he's Trump's preference for Honduran president.
- If this isn't a snapshot of what border imperialism and law and order regimes amount - punish immigrants and punching down while empowering predatory right wing authoritarians and economic elites to act with legal impunity - then I don't know what is.
