- Some very kind words on Fower Pessoas from Paul Malgrati.
- Reposted by Colin BramwellFinally took the time to read Colin Bramwell´s brilliant Scots translation of the great Portuguese poet, Fernando Pessoa. Stuart Kelly called it a ‘modern Scots language masterpiece’ in The Scotsman: this isn’t an exaggeration. (1/3)
- Blown away by this review of Fower Pessoas from Stuart Kelly.
- ‘Fower Pessoas is a revelation, and shows just how strong Scots poetry can be. … What is exceptional is that Bramwell fashions distinct Scots for Pessoa’s different heteronyms. The chutzpah is amazing.’ Stuart Kelly on brambrella.bsky.social, for @scotsman.com: www.scotsman.com/arts-and-cul...
- Heartening to see the general reaction to this poem from my latest: thanks to The Scotsman for selecting it as their poem of the week.
- ‘The poem here closes Bramwell’s new collection Fower Pessoas ... which could soon be considered a modern Scots language masterpiece.’ Lovely to see this poem by @brambrella.bsky.social as the Poem of the Week in @scotsman.com! www.carcanet.co.uk/978180017464...

- Happy publication day to my latest volume, Fower Pessoas. To say I'm a little emotional would be an understatement. Finally, this wee thing I've worked on for ages gets released. Here's another poem from the book, then.
- Finally, I feel happy and ready for these poems to go out into what WS Graham called 'a silence I know nothing about, there to be let in and entertained and charmed out of their master's orders.'
- Thanks so much if you've bought the book already. To see it find its readership has been an unexpectedly beautiful thing. If you have a favourite poem or heteronym, let me know in comments,or post it so others can read.

- It's Christmas Eve! Here's the cover for my next book, Fower Pessoas. That's Fernando Pessoa's four main heteronyms (Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, Ricardo Reis and Pessoa himself) in Scots - out with @carcanet.bsky.social in February 2025. Can't wait to see what the world thinks.
- Thanks to Iona Lee for the beautiful illustration of those famous specs which graces the front cover - if you look closely you'll see Loch Ness reflected there. That was important to me - the whole project of the book brings Scotland into Pessoa's universe, and Pessoa into Scotland's.
- I'll share more stuff from the book over the coming weeks - poems, readings, more illustrations, info about launches and of course details on how to pre order. In the meantime, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas you bonnie lot - sending Glenn Gould, Frankenstein and Meh.
