- This is the kind of intrusive thought I get when playing video games (in this case, Hollow Knight: Silksong). Here I am, hours later, following through:
- Reposted by FydaTECHI just got a DM from someone that pirated my game. They said (paraphrasing) that with hindsight the game was absolutely worth the price, and were asking my preferred avenue for them to buy it (Steam vs Itch). I've gotten a lot of great DMs from players, but this one is probably my favorite.

- I'm glad I decided to revisit Mario is Missing! for DOS. It has been delightfully cursed. This time around, I discovered that Luigi can take a photo at each of the historical sites. I was so tickled by the game's rendition of the Louvre that I had to make this...
- For reference, this is how Mario Is Missing! depicts the Louvre.

- Marki is an incredibly sweet and thoughtful streamer who is thorough in his exploration of games new and old. He tackles the sorts of completionist challenges many people would shy away from, and does this in such a patient, calming, and pleasant manner that the time simply flies.
- I'm back home just in time for the Twitch 2025 recaps. Phew! This was my 3rd year of streaming. Thank you for all of the support. This has been an exhausting year, and I am grateful for all the company, encouragement, and distraction while I tried to play some video games.
- I made an NES-style cover of "Voyage, voyage" by Desireless. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8G2... #chiptune #nes

- Reposted by FydaTECHI wrote a DOS application on stream that demonstrates why the colors that make up the default VGA palette were chosen.
- Here is my attempt at a cover of "I Like Chopin" by Gazebo. (I've been waiting for a typhoon to finish passing through; there is still an "extremely heavy rain advisory". I worked on this over the past two nights with the intermittent roar of rain against the windows.) #chiptune #nes
- Ten games to get to know me. 👁️

- My 5th annual birthday album is out now: 20 tracks of NES-style chiptune music composed for just 4 audio channels. Waveform visualiser: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHX6... Bandcamp: fyda.bandcamp.com/album/fortun... #chiptune
- This is the final entry in the birthday album series. I have completed my self-imposed challenge (to do this for 5 years), and I am satisfied. Going forward, I look forward to branching out into other genres (mainly electronic) and making smaller and more frequent releases.
- Reposted by FydaTECHAs someone that watches/listens to a lot of twitch streams, this comment hits really hard.
- Today, I put the finishing touches on what will be my 5th annual NES-style chiptune album, to be released one week from now. Making these albums has been a personal and primarily symbolic ritual for me. I am glad to close out the series with (what I feel to be) my strongest work yet.

- Tomorrow (August 11) at 1pm Pacific... I will be joining the lovely @cursev.bsky.social on his stream to play through the "ØDE" DLC of Morkredd, a co-op physics-based puzzle game where shadows are lethal! Time allowing, we may also try out some UFO 50 multiplayer games.
- I spent over an hour tonight working on a pixel art portrait. I sent it to a trusted friend (thank you, trusted friend!) and they suggested that I use dithering, since I had a lot of harsh lines (with just a 4-colour palette). I'm a dummy. I FORGOT DITHERING EXISTED AAAAAAAAAAAA

- Tomorrow (July 7) at 1pm Pacific... The thoughtful and well-spoken @observerherb.bsky.social will be joining me on Twitch for Bread & Fred. I am certain that this will be a calm and relaxing time with absolutely no overthinking, hubris, or falling all the way down to the bottom of the mountain. 👁️
- Tomorrow, on her Twitch channel at 4PM EST, I will be tethered to the cerebral but wonderfully pleasant @fyda.tech. Will two huge nerds tethered together survive? ;-)
- Anna's description of how it feels to (not) exist outside of one's creations and activities caught me off guard... because to some extent this resonates with me greatly.
- 5 years ago I made an album. It was rubbish, but by publishing it I felt I was leaving a record of my existence. That's why they're birthday albums. They're gifts from me to myself. So whenever I feel like I've never done anything, past!Me comes up and smacks present!Me with evidence otherwise.
- So it was shocking to me when strangers bought them. For a long time I couldn't really process why anyone would do that. There's a music streamer I adore who stunned me by buying and using that first album in their live mix. I cannot describe how it felt to witness that. To exist.
- I'm not seeking pity nor reassurance with any of this. Ultimately it's meant to be a positive reflection on how much impact people can have on each other just by taking the time to interact. To be a human acknowledging another human. Overly sentimental? Nah, this is how meaning gets created.
- Got home yesterday and told myself I'd get through my to-do tasks after a short nap. The "nap" ended up being 7 hours long. I did get through those tasks... albeit between 5am and 8am. Time to try and catch a couple hours' worth of winks.
- Only a few days before I head home. I haven't finished a single track all month. I've had visibly suboptimal streaming conditions, almost no reliable undisturbed time, a sleep pattern in shambles, and no more than 4 hours of energy at a time. But the life stuff has progressed. More in November.
- A regular streaming schedule has been unfeasible, so I am trying something new: putting two possible times on the schedule, setting alarms for both, and seeing which one I'm awake enough to stream at. If this ridiculous idea actually works, it may become the daily(ish) norm for the next 3 weeks.
- It may look utterly daft, but it's still not as terrible as the time I thought I could stream twice a day on three days of the week.
- Three decades away from my birthplace have made me an awkward foreigner. I am very fortunate that this place is friendly to foreigners.
- Since I am still a person who posts photos of plushies... dang it, this Jolteon was too perfect.
- Reposted by FydaTECHGentoo Rescue is out now: store.steampowered.com/app/2830480/... Thanks for the love and support everyone has given. I hope the game brings you as much joy as it has me! There is a 10% launch discount that will run for 2 weeks until June 5. #indiegamedev #puzzlegame #solodev #sokoban #metroidvania
- I think this year's birthday album, if it happens, will be the last one. It would be a good number to end the series on. I don't intend to stop making music; I just want a more flexible release schedule than "once a year with 20 tracks every time," and I want to branch out into non-chiptune.
