Waiting to see what, if anything, happens regarding the resurfacing works in the car park around Old King George today. Nothing yet. We have highlighted concerns to the council about the potential for works in the root protection area to harm the trees, so we will keep an eye on works as they occur.
Jan 12, 2026 09:04So far it seems the works have been less invasive than originally expected, with only pothole filling and a topping up of tarmac, no significant excavations seen. There has been an immediate no work zone to the oak tree trunk siting too.
