- Happy sc00t day to all who celebrate. He has risen.
- Portlands hottest new music venue: Bank of Expensify
- Really hope Music Millennium lands in good hands and continues to be a Portland institution. 🤞
- Reposted by Matt McNallyToday I saw ICE gas little white kids in the streets of Portland with chemical weapons. Imagine what they're doing to brown and black kids in the detention camps
- Reposted by Matt McNallyJust experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com
- Will remind folks forever this was supported by 82% of Portland voters! 82%! The last Council slow walked this voter mandate, and I’m incredibly thankful accountability advocates like @councilorkanal.bsky.social are back on Council to help guide its future.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyTwo Democratic members of Congress attacked in three days. Maxwell Frost was assaulted on Saturday, Ilan Omar tonight.

- Reposted by Matt McNallyThe political press very clearly understands “truth” as a social agreement, a compromise position between everyone important enough to have an opinion. It did not reflect on how this would allow dedicated liars to go all-in on lies again and again and dramatically shift the position.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyICE detain yet another minor child—chase him down his own street and tackle him to pavement. "I am legal! I am legal!" he cries over and over in Spanish. Agent pins the boy down in snow—he desperately tries to keep his exposed hands from freezing at -25°F wind chill temperature. Minneapolis, MN
- We shouldn't support businesses here owned by Representatives who believe murdering mothers & kidnapping children is an "effective, durable, and responsible" use of tax dollars. Portlanders can't vote her out, but they can vote with their dollars & put her out of business: Dean's Car Care in NE.
- Once upon a time, I was so excited for this World Cup. Now I hope to see a worldwide boycott.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyI genuinely think boycotting the World Cup is some of the strongest leverage the Europeans have.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyAnother friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."
- Solidarity forever with the people of Minnesota. Folks there are just built different. I had the pleasure of organizing for Bernie there in the winter of 2016 (from an office with no heat 🥶). We won every congressional district. Met so many great people who provided many lessons and inspiration. ✊
- Still sick. Have 2 tickets up in the rafters to the Blazers vs Raptors game tonight. If you’re a fan who hasn’t been able to make a game this season, send me a message and the tickets are yours.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyThe Venezuelan parents and their 7-year-old daughter entered the U.S. legally.
- The only thing going well so far in 2026 is the Blazers.
- PPA, the “most accountable agency in the world” 🙄 should be held accountable for hyperbole. Many Portlanders have concerns those who enforce our laws don’t hold our values since they don’t live here. Stating the town an officer lives in is not doxing. Not identifying is the same position as ICE.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyICE’s cruelty knows no bounds. Deporting children with cancer. Shooting moms. And now, using a 5 year-old as “bait” to detain his family. It’s far past clear: ICE must be abolished. Congress should not give it any additional funding. And the people responsible for its crimes should face charges.
- 2026 has been so exhausting. I’ve already been sick twice…in 3 weeks. 😞
- Here for Novick’s idea of building housing on a city owned golf course. Commissioner Hardesty was very interested in this idea and if she had a second term it might have happened already.

- Congratulations to Council President @councilordunphy.bsky.social, and enormous appreciation to @councilorkanal.bsky.social for his dedication and grace during this process.
- The audacity of the Oregonian editorial board to come out today and call concerns of racism “trivial.” The old guard of Portland can’t fall fast enough.
- I've stretched this antenna all over the apartment and I just cannot get a KGW signal.

- As we condemn the disgusting racism and vitriol from these power players and note who they associate with, it’s also worth noting their influence on local media. For example, so much of @wweek.com criticism of Preschool for All is driven by these same racist actors and organizations.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyThe Mercury has obtained a series of images of group messages that show racist, sexist, and homophobic tropes used by a local developer and other local conservative political activists during a council president election. Readers may find this content offensive.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyIf calling a state secret police agent a murderer for committing murder will lead to more murder by the state secret police, it sure seems like the problem is with the secret police
- That tooth was really holding Toumani back.
- Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade is one of my favorite musicians. Between his projects Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, and his solo work I’ve seen him almost 10 times live. Venues have ranged from the Old Church to Holocene to Crystal. It’s wild seeing them blow up for a song released over 20 years ago!

- I’m so glad I got a pass at the end of last year. I would not allow myself to purchase this design.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyOur health care system is collapsing. Housing is unaffordable. 60% of people are living paycheck to paycheck. Instead of trying to "run" Venezuela, Trump might try to do a better job running the United States.
- Wait when did Juanitas Chips become Juantonios Chips? When did this bait & switch occur? How long have have I been living without even noticing? Is my entire life a lie? Is this the Mandela effect? I need answers!
- 70% of Americans oppose war with Venezuela. When you see local “Democrats” working with Future Portland, Parternship for Progress, etc, or when WW & Oregonian present these groups as “moderate” remember this is who they are. Here is Owendoff prominently featured at recent events from both groups.
- Reposted by Matt McNallyJust woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.
- Friends new cat auditioning to be the next Blaze.
- Haters are gonna hate, but under very difficult circumstances, Multnomah County accomplished a lot last year under the leadership of @jvegapederson.bsky.social.
- This is not an affordability platform. It’s a billionare agenda, under the false promise of trickle down economics. Give the folks at the top even more, and they’ll let us have a few more scraps. Preschool for All saves families on average 18K annually. That’s the affordability agenda.

- Missing from media year end recaps for Portland seems to be that the most accomplished Councilor this year was the youngest ever elected, the one and only @councilormorillo.bsky.social. Grateful she represents me and is protecting renters, keeping parks clean, standing up to ICE, and growing PSR.
- We have a lot of community advocates to thank for preventing this wasteful investment from coming to Portland, which is also seeing a dramatic drop in gun violence.

- Local Progress is a great org representing a wide collation of left of center electeds & policy advocacy. While there is nothing wrong with being associated with DSA, local LP participants have included Gresham City Councilor Morales, Metro Councilor Lewis and many others not known as “socialist.”
