- This is next week! It’s been a long few weeks of preparation, would be great to see some of you there.
- Keystone Brewing is a failed experiment in seeing if consumers were still willing to spend money on failed local-led brands who fell into the hands of faceless private equity companies. It's even more absurd that someone else is willing to waste yet more millions testing that again.
- BREAKING: Keystone Brewing has been sold to Saltaire Brewery owner Paramount Retail Group for £4.5m. Via @thegrocer.bsky.social. www.thegrocer.co.uk/news/keyston...
- Reposted by Sean MThis week, and for the next fortnight, we are humbly asking for your opinions. The 2026 Pellicle Readers' Survey is waiting for your opinions and qualms! We have prizes for three lucky participants too, check it out: forms.gle/ckXLdBKYF6cf...
- My first ever exhibition will be hosted by my pals at The Kings Arms pub from this month. A Beer’s Place showcases my commercial and personal photography exploring beer, from where it’s made to where it’s drunk.
- I’ll be there on Thursday 29th January from 6pm. Come along and say hi, have a beer or two and see some photos. I’ll have prints available to buy too (please DM ahead if you’re interested).
- Beautiful.
- Reposted by Sean MHappy Christmas Eve-Eve! It's time for our Reader's Choice roundup, something that always brings up interesting patterns—for example, every single one of our most-read stories this year was about beer or pubs. www.pelliclemag.com/home/2025/12...
- This is the last week to get prints delivered in time for Christmas. And what a great gift they'd make! I've just sent a lovely new A3 print on its way to France. This one is from my green hop feature, but others are available too. DM if you're interested and I can get it sorted with priority.
- The Fat Cat was always one of those pubs that was on "the list", but I never expected to visit. I'm so glad I got the chance to finally tick it off with this visit for @pelliclemag.com. This is my fourth feature with @fred-gs.bsky.social and it's a personal one. Please read and enjoy.
- For the last in our November-long series of pieces on pubs and pub culture, @fred-gs.bsky.social visits The Fat Cat in Norwich, a pub that's close to his heart for many reasons. We hope you enjoy this beautiful salutation of an all-time great. www.pelliclemag.com/home/2025/11...

- Reposted by Sean MBeautiful, vivid piece of work from Sean on the 2025 hop harvest. It’s made me very thirsty indeed
- From Bine to Glass: A behind-the-scenes look at the 2025 hop harvest, following fresh green hops from Hukins Hops in Kent to breweries like Five Points and Beak as they brew with them within hours of picking. www.seanislegend.com/green-hop-beer
- Thanks for the green hop shout-out in this week's roundup!
- GOOD MORNING! Here's our latest round up of news, nuggets and longreads, with important brewery closures, Belgian bars, green hop beers, and lots of other stuff an' all. 🍺🍻 boakandbailey.com/2025/11/news...
- Reposted by Sean MThe storytelling, the photos—everything here is just stunning. Kudos to @seanislegend.com for this inaugural long read!

- Reposted by Sean MPhotographer @seanislegend.com has compiled this fantastic look at UK green hop season. Some really stunning shots in this: www.seanislegend.com/green-hop-beer
- Reposted by Sean MThis is a lovely deep-dive on the English hop harvest and a handful of green hop (aka fresh hop) beers made with them. The surprise twist is that one of the beers uses Bullion, a very old variety I thought was extinct. I guess not!

- This is my first ever solo story that I’ve written and photographed and I’d love it if you took the time to browse it. I’ve custom designed and built the page to be engaging and easy to follow. If you do enjoy it, please pass it along to someone you might think will enjoy it too.
- Fingers crossed! I photographed this amazing story from Fred. After our visit I became a certified Rye Guy.
- Really honoured to have been shortlisted for this year’s @britbeerwriters.bsky.social Best Communication about Beer and Travel award for my @pelliclemag.com long read on the pubs of Rye & the rich history that shaped them 🍻 You can read it here! www.pelliclemag.com/home/2025/3/...
- The summer sun has left us and that means no more street pints until next year. It’s too cold now, and the change happened far too quickly for my liking.
- Had a lovely Sunday session at the Kings Arms with @thornbridge.bsky.social and Garrett Oliver. The energy in the pub was great; a real buzz about the place for these legends and their beer. Love to see it.
- Congratulations to Thornbridge and Garrett for winning "New Beer of the Year" award for Strong Dark Mild at Brewer's Congress this week.
- Don't take AI advice from consultants in suits.
- Next month @craftbeerchannel.bsky.social host their annual Love & Beer festival. It’s a celebration of all things beer and homebrewing. Here’s some photos from last year at Hackney Brewery (RIP).
- I had a lovely day with David Bruce while photographing him for my latest @pelliclemag.com feature. He’s some character; bursting with energy, knowledge, and anecdotes for all things beer and hospitality. Read @philmellows.bsky.social story below.
- What a firkin' life! David Bruce began his career as a brewer in the 80s, and built a brewpub empire. @philmellows.bsky.social has a chat with the man he's known for four decades to ask him what motivates a dude in beer for all this time. www.pelliclemag.com/home/2025/8/...
- I’m looking to collaborate with a London-based brewery brewing a green hop beer in the coming weeks. If your brewery is planning a green hop release, or you know a farm or brewer I should speak with, I’d love to connect. Please tag or share any leads.
- Some precious work at Hukins Hops here: www.seanislegend.com/hukins-hops-...
- A weekend in Leith.
- Some photos from last summer.
- Enjoyed an evening down at Five Points Courtyard with From The Ashe's nose-to-tail masterclass. A half lamb was butchered into multiple cuts and cooked over charcoal. The food was served with lovely side dishes and plenty of Five Points pints.
