- Delighted to have a new article in Anglo-Norman Studies. It explores how the ‘Antipope’ Clement III was viewed in Anglo-Norman England. I argue that his claims to be pope were treated far more seriously than has often been assumed, with Lanfranc and Rufus nearly recognising him as pope in 1088.
