- Less than 24 hours left to vote in the Scottish Greens Holyrood Selections. Your original voting email should have landed on July 1st with a reminder arriving yesterday. Please get your votes in by 1200 tomorrow lunch time and Vote Ryan Blackadder #1
- Have you voted yet? If not, there’s only one thing to do 👀
- With voting now open, I am delighted to have the support of Morven Ovenstone-Jones, Co Convenor of North East Fife Branch and recent Fife Co Convenor. "Ryan has the vision and drive to deliver for communities across Scotland. That's why I'm backing Ryan Blackadder for Mid-Scotland and Fife #1"
- Scotland is facing an influx of foreign investment in our community clubs. We must protect these much loved assets for years to come by putting the real ownership in the hands of the people who care the most. We should legislate for fan ownership of football and sports clubs in Scotland.
- Football is back today but can I enjoy it with a cold beer? No. I could if it was rugby.. Football in Scotland is still a working class game but only in expensive hospitality suites can you enjoy a pint. End the alcohol ban, help clubs make profit, respect fans. It's simple
- We need more houses and we need them now, but where does that leave us in 5 and 10 years? Without enough schools, doctors, dentists, sport and leisure facilities, public transport and community spaces. If you are building a new estate of houses, you must build a new community.
- This highlights exactly why buses should be taken into public ownership. Public transport is supposed to serve exactly that - the public. Private companies like stagecoach put profit above the needs of people and leave communities without viable travel options People are forced into car ownership

- A plan to stand up for Fife! Read more about my vision for Fife and why you should put Blackadder #1 in the Scottish Green selections next week. Fife ✅ Mid Scotland ⌛➡️ open.substack.com/pub/greenand...
- Scots deserves a fairer deal. More money in their pockets from cheaper bills and lower taxes. Tax the super-rich. Reform our outdated council tax. Fund local services properly - for people and planet.🌍 Back Blackadder #1 in Mid Scotland and Fife to lead that change.
- 📢 Attention those in Fife! Fife Council's consultation on Short Term Lets (Airbnb's) in the Kingdom is open. It's really important residents fill this in and help protect our coastal villages being overrun by absent landlords and key box neighbours coming and going. tinyurl.com/2499xahw
- One of the Scottish Green's proudest successes is the Under 22 free bus travel. Now we must keep extending it. I would pursue expanding the eligibility to Under 25s and those on low income. Transport is our biggest polluter & a huge personal expense. It must be affordable to leave the car at home.
- We’re sitting on a goldmine of green potential in Mid Scotland & Fife and yet it’s being wasted. While other parties drag their feet, we’re ready to invest in people, protect nature and show the world our natural wonder. I'm the one to help get it done. 🌍 Vote Blackadder #1
- Excellent day in Cupar yesterday for the @fifegreens.bsky.social AGM. A great turn out and an excellent walk down the river Eden afterwards (with tour guide supremo Fergus). Lucky to have such an energised branch, ready for another campaign year 🗳️
- Talking about Council sizing and efficiency isn't sexy, but it's important. Next year will be 30 years since Scotland's Council set up was last reviewed and altered. For some, they are set up correctly - Fife is not. Lets review our Councils and start by splitting Fife Council up!
- Who better to speak up for the changes needed to enhance our railways than an actual Railwayman? We need faster electrification, investment in new lines and creating stations to connect communities - new and old. I can be the MSP Mid Scotland & Fife needs to get rail “back on track”
- Mid Scotland & Fife has huge potential for community energy – putting power (literally) back in local hands. As your MSP, I’ll back towns and villages to set up repair hubs, food networks, and local energy projects that cut bills and build resilience. Vote Ryan Blackadder #1 in Mid Scotland & Fife
- I'm standing for the Scottish Greens - Mid Scotland and Fife list. We don't talk enough about Independence. What it means, how we work together to achieve it and how it would change people's lives for the better Scotland has a radical history, it's future can be the same. Vote Ryan Blackadder #1
- 🚨🏃♂️Blackadder is running! Excited to announce I am standing for selection on the Mid Scotland & Fife list for the Scottish Greens. @scottishgreens.org Now is the time for young, fresh, trade unionist voices to stand for our party and deliver a record result to Holyrood!.. 1/3
- This is the direct result of mobilising the voice of a community and a nation. Over 174,000 online signatures and hundreds of individual objections submitted in writing, the Scottish Government is U-Turning again. Tremendous work by Ross, his team and such a dedicated community
- It’s a terrible look for John Swinney that the Prime Minister has told the BBC neither him nor Swinney consider another independence referendum a priority. They don’t even discuss it. It’s not the @scottishgreens.org position. Scottish Independence is essential for people & nature.
- Brace yourselves for this one… 🫣😂 Ash Regan isn’t fit to be a member of Parliament. It is beyond comprehension she was previously a Government Minister. This is the quality opposition the ALBA party are serving up. They are finished.
- The GPEW members have a choice between Zack Polanski taking the party to Left and challenging fascists, bigots and climate deniers head on. Or Ellie & Adrian who think Conservative heartland seats like theirs are the key to the party’s success and will lean to the centre right..
- Liam McArthur has done a belter of a job opening, closing and answering every question in the debate on Assisted Dying today. At times unsurprisingly overwhelmed by the strength of feeling, he’s a credit to a movement fighting for the right to dignity in death. One step closer now 🏃🏻

- Incredibly grateful to Patrick for his dedicated leadership, his guidance and his friendship. The party and our movement wouldn’t be at the heights we are now if it hadn’t been for him. Now we continue the fight together, I’m glad he isn’t ready to put his feet up just yet.

- JD Vance has just amplified the risk of a world war on live TV.
- Sarwar and team in full panic mode after the weekends polling. Backtracking on previous votes and commitments and now making promises his government would never enact. Pretending to be Reform isn’t working for Starmer, why would it work for Sarwar? His days as leader are numbered ⏳
- I'm sorry but the new White Lotus theme tune is not it. I need my harp, my beats and my ululating yodelling back. 🕺
- So 51 SNP, 15 Green and Labour losing a quarter of their seats. Almost like the Greens pulling the SNP to the left was what Scotland wanted? Time to get the plan and the vision down in writing, keep to the course and hammer it home for the next 15 months.
- 🛢️ Amazing news this morning that the Court of Session in Edinburgh has ruled that Rosebank and Jackdaw licences were issued unlawfully and that drilling cannot go ahead. New drilling for Oil and Gas completely undermines our mission to stop global warming. If they apply again they must be rejected
