saying “you’re not cut out to be an artist” to beginners is so stupid.
drawing is literally a practice work, it’s going to take a lot of time for anyone to get the proportions, shading, coloring or any of that right.

Making a living as an artist is very difficult. It is one of the more challenging professions. In a way it's like a musician, where many are really good at it, but it takes a lot more than skill/talent to earn a living.
