- I'm such a good person, or a nut, or both. I have suet cakes in my shed but I can't open the shed doors because they're blocked by thick ice. So today I ordered suet cakes for the birdies that will be here tomorrow. Our feathered friends need extra energy in the bitter cold.🪶

- We have 2" of ice over 5" of snow and it won't be melting anytime soon. I named the area between my back porch (Base Camp) and the bird feeders the Khumbu Icefall. I need to lay down ladders to make the hazardous trek from Base Camp to the feeders less hazardous... or have Sherpas carry me.
