- I think Bitcoin as an investment is dumb. I also think Bitcoin will be back up over 100K in the next 6-12 months.
- Last night I opened up an open source package that I have been *slowly* working on over a year or two but haven't touched in 6+ months. It is hand-crafted and AI free. It's great. I'm very proud of it. But now I'm going to start using Claude to get it finished. There is something sad about that.
- It seems the consensus around Star Trek: Discovery is that it is good. I liked the first 2? seasons but at some point it just seemed... not good. Everything was so gratuitously emotional and sappy. I loved the cast. Sonequa Martin-Green is awesome. They just made them all so wimpy I thought.
- Reposted by Clay SmithMy contract is ending at the end of February and so I’d like to find a new role ASAP. I am a senior-level design systems developer / design technologist / front-of-the-frontend developer that specializes in web accessibility. I work remotely from my home in Winnipeg, Canada. 🇨🇦 Shares appreciated!
- Reposted by Clay SmithWanna come work with me? ngrok are shortly going to be posting a position for someone to take ownership of our video content, focusing on well-researched, well-presented AI educational stuff (a la ngrok.com/blog/prompt-...). If that sounds like your cup of tea, my DMs are open 🙏
- I'm down with this.
- I'm a fan of Conductor (www.conductor.build). In that last 10/20% of a project or large task, it is great for just firing off several tweaks to the UI or text changes. I had a boss who used to love to sit over my shoulder and treat me like I was Conductor. "Do this!" "Change that!". F that dude.
- Any chance DOGE 86'd the funding for the State of the Union this year?
- They want Bill Clinton to testify regarding Epstein? He wrote the book on it. www.youtube.com/shorts/RuIPD...

- One thing I noticed when writing these down... I like Podcasts with one host who is just starting out with a new thing (or in life?) and another who has done it all before and is looking back at what they've done right and wrong.
- OK. I need some podcast recommendations. It seems there has been a ton of attrition over the last 12-18 months? I have 3 kids and no time and I still manage to burn through my queue of podcasts... A bit of a thread...
- A process I have found useful in 'vibe coding' larger greenfield projects is to alternate between vertical slices (new features/sections) and horizontal slices ('refactor all data tables to use this pattern, apply sonner for all notifications...
- I'm pretty much resigned to just use Claude Code + Plan Mode. No special agents, commands, rules, skills... I think those things help but their utility just seems to erode as the frontier models improve. It feels like wasted energy. I'd love advice on what to improve that will be useful in a year.

- The 'split view' in Chrome is cool.
- LIstening to @adamwathan.com's podcast. Tailwind has such unique business challenges in the age of AI. Is there a model for subscription MCP servers or password protected LLM docs with a restrictive license? I'd pay 5-10/month for tools that helped my coding agents produce better tailwind code...
