- We must take these new Trump battleships seriously but not littorally.
- Feels remarkable to be able to work from home all day during a power outage using a laptop tethered to a mobile phone, and neither will run out of battery. So much infrastructure and tech comes together to make this happen, but obviously would be impossible for so many reasons 10y ago.

- BioRender pulled off this wild trick where they convinced an entire community to acknowledge their software in every figure, slide, paper, and talk... as if it's is fundamentally different from the other software tools that we employ without constant and explicit acknowledgement.
